before you re-enable your antivirus you should add the file to the whitelist. then when you turn it back on the antivirus wont react.

you have to reinstall the game again to get the file back. the file is gone if your antivirus deleted it. its possible your antivirus just put it in quarantine, where you can restore it.

it gets put back into quarantine so quickly because explorer.exe is accessing the file as you probably have an explorer window open at its directory.

hey nuke, why did you install fleetops to your desktop lol, whats wrong with good old fashioned C:program files or C:program files (x86)

normal install for fleetops is C:program filesactivisionblah blah

can confirm eset's NOD32 doesnt detect it. everyone who gets a negative reaction from their antivirus should send for analysis, if a lot of people do it they are more likely to sort the problem out

I am having an issue with my anti virus deleteing my armada2.exe file. It claims it is a trojen? Even if i restore the files fleet ops does not launch and I have to download and reinstall. Issue only occured on 3.1.4. Thank you

EDIT:  I managed to tell Kapersky to relax and to ignore any and all 'issues' it has with the Armada folder entirely.  That would likely work for others having trouble with Kapersky

Actually I've had this exact problem.

Dominus mentioned to me the problem just after I deleted the 'trojan' in Kapersky AV.  I tried restoring it, deleting it from the quarantine, and reinstalling Armada with no success.

Anyone find anything that works yet?  :(

Not sure if this is a bug (hope so), but FO won't run since I installed 3.4. If I use either desktop or menu shortcut, or the directory .exe, nothing happens. Seems to have installed fine.

Anyone know what the deal is? I used 3.3 just yesterday and it worked fine. I am running Windows 7, 64bit, if it helps.

THX and PLEEZ Help.  :(

So far Norton has no issues. Then again, I haven't played it just yet.  :sweatdrop:

Yep, i've tried re-installing. I also tried deleting all of my old FO files prior to reinstall, as opposed to overwriting.

It sounds to me like you've got the issue where you AntiVirus program is thinking Armada.exe is a Trojan.  There is another topic in this forum-section devoted to that.  You'll have to likely uninstall, turn off your AV program, reinstall, then tell the AV to 'trust' the Armada folder somehow :D.

Every AV program is different so don't hesitate to consult the almighty Google :D

Well as of this writing Kaspersky still hates armada.exe so I had to make an exlusion for the intire install folder. In fact installing 3.1.4 tripped off kaspersky durring the install.

putting an exception for the fleetops entire folder isnt a bad idea either. it helps reduce the time it takes for the game to check the files as the antivirus doesnt have to look too. so getting online is quicker.

Is there a quick fix patch so that I won't be asked by my Anti-Virus program every time I load it? I am not asking for much just a quick fix exe. Because I am getting annoyed how I have to say no every time it asks to quarantine it.
