Install issue with FOSetup327 :(

I encountered something similar. I ended up with a folder in the install directory that was owned by some other user; and whoever it was had rights so high that not even my Admin account could take ownership. I eventually had to go into safe-mode to get rid of it. I can't tell if you had the same problem, but it definitely sounds like a permissions thing.

I'm having the same or a similar issue. I downloaded the FOsetup327.exe and corresponding multimedia file and when i double clicked it to install it simply said "Error: Access Denied" I've tried redownloading it several times to no avail. I'm running windows 7 64 bit. i am the only user so everything should automatically be run as administrator but I right clicked and said run as administrator just in case and kept getting the same error.

Update: I made sure all the permissions were as high as they could go on the STA2 folder in order to allow the installer to modify it. I also disabled my anti-virus software. Still getting the same "Error: Access is denied"

I do not know about your error.....
but
you do not need STA2 folder before instaling fleetops, fleetops is new instalation itself, not a modification of preinstaled armada 2 ....

As an update to my previous problem I've tried disabling my firewall/antivirus and windows firewall to no avail

Try disabling User Account Control or installing somewhere outside of C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86). C:\Games is a good spot.
