I am running it and it looks like everything is AA'd fine, if I disable it in-game, becomes jaggy, if re-enable it, it is fine. I have a 3870 OC'd with the latest drivers.

Like I said, ATI AA and AF are working up close, but when you zoom out, the AA and AF are gone. Funny thing is, when I play Armada 2, I zoom all the way out, and I still have good AA and AF (however, A2 models are not good looking in the first place). So, something with the AA and AF (AF primarily) is not working properly. If it is related to ATI cards, then we need to address this with either ATI or with a confirmation with one of the devs that the game needs to be adjusted to where AA and AF work at a distance.
Just need a dev to stand up and give us some particulars about this issue. Seems that they are more worried about “out of Sync” problems at the moment.

OK i solved the problem with patch 3.07 and deaktivated the asynchronous curser option. )what is it good for anyway?) It now runs with x6AA without problems.
