Hi,

Today the following minor problem occured to us by playing multiplayer, Romulans vs Borg. The Romulans after building two sensor stations couldn't build any more - the slot in the construction ship for the station just disappeared. Maybe this is a problem of the 3.0.7 pre-version?!

we will try to get 307 with a view balance changes and many bugfixes done as soon as possible. 3.0.7 will patch both 3.0.6 and the 3.0.7PR - the pre release is just for you to test it out if any further OOS should happen

I still got the OOS Problem playing with my brother.

It was us 2 against 4 AI Hard. The OOS appeared after some time when there were some more ships fighting... Hope you will fix that

I still got oos. I was playing with a human player against ai's and after 15 minutes or so, the game went oos. We continued playing and the message with "out of sync" kept appearing every minute or so. We finally quit. We were playing federation and romulans vs ai's dominion and klingons.

Will give this a try at my next chance, maybe about midnight tonight after work.

EDIT1:  Actually took a moment to see if it would reach the main menu right now.

No, it does not, it is that out of memory error again, in other words the path bug.  Thus, the path bug is still not fixed.  If I change the environment path variable to shorten my path it launches and reaches the main screen, the uxtheme bug seems fixed now, and the path bug is still there.  :)

EDIT2:  Here is the callstack for the path bug, it seems to be in your dll, not A2...

damn :D How long is your path var?
posted on June 2nd, 2009, 10:23 am
Hold on, let me check, python makes this easy:  python -c "import os;print(len(os.environ['path']))"
1213

So, it is 1213 characters in length.  Sometimes longer depending on the profile I log into.  If I log into my programming profile it might be double that.

I haven't had any problems... which type of install did you use?  :ermm:

3.0.6, with the patch on top of it from the first link of this thread.

As stated, if I change my %PATH% to be shorter then the problem does not occur, meaning that A2 is reading in the %PATH% environment variable, but did not check the length first, just bad programming.  I am not sure why it actually needs to read in the %PATH% anyway, but it is...

Ok i tried the patch and nothing. To be clear, it crashes in ST3D_Device.CreateRenderSurfaces (its actually in the Armada2 EXE).
