Unused Romulan Ships

were you using the frigate refits? cuz they take 50% (?) less damage from torps.

Indeed, pulses are rather week against borg, as they have big chassis, which means most bor ships have battleship-behaviour. Pulses have 100% strength against destroyers, 80% against cruiseres and only 60% against battleships, if i remember correctly. Torpedos are more powerful than anything else, but only have 100% hitchance against battleships. This use torpedoes against the big borg.

btw, dircome means spectre refit, i believe. These have the oversied shields that take 25% less damage from torpedos. The frigate is good against disruprot carrying ships and small vessels.

Most Borg ships count as mid-size ships (at least according to the ODF's), which means they take only 80% damage from pulses. Thus, they are rather weak (pulses). If you want additional strategy points against the Borg I suggest you read the MP Borg strategy guide 

Indeed Mimesot is correct about the Spectre refit.
The Frigate takes 50% less from pulses (suppressive shielding).
