i think dominus just wanted to say, that the descriptions of the ships(defensive cruisers etc.) are sometimes misleading, because as example the exelsior: you wrote it would be a light cruiser, but from the odf it is a small ship , and because of that a destroyer.

also: when you want to make a flat non-prejudice system, then why do you insert such personal ratings as Capture Value.

i hope you don't take this too persionally.

Gamer, I am stating this because you are giving misleading information. If you state something is a cruiser, it means that generally it will take 80% damage from pulse weapons and be missed 20% of the time by torpedo weapons. Likewise, ships like the Norway which do heavy damage to small--aka destroyer-type vessels with the Plasma Coil weapons are affected. If you say a ship is NOT a destroyer when it is, you are giving people the wrong information. I am glad whenever somebody makes new types of guides--as long as they are accurate.

If you don't wish criticism then say so in your first post. This is not a personal attack on you, and I would dare say that if somebody found something similar in my guide I'd want them to call me out on it.  ^-^

I would suggest though that you try to consider a more overarching description for the capture value of units: if you are doing it purely on a ship to ship basis of comparison, it is not very useful in my opinion, as certain units have more use in a particular situation then others. Not all artillery vessels are created alike ;). Remember fleets.

Yes indeed that is what I meant Dna42 :)
