Noob question: Best use of Generix Specter Refits?

Hmmm, I had it stored somewhere in the back of my mind, that Upgrade Facility also enables Sing Generix...

i was being silly, i just noticed i'd used 2 words beginning with the letter a, wanted to see how many i could manage, had to cheat and use 'alliterative' itself for the 4th, then i gave up

You guys, I'm still confused about how to use those Specters. Leahvals are lower on the tech tree, much faster moving, cheaper (in all but Tri) and even build more quickly. I'll try to use them as Warbird escorts as was suggested, maybe that's a better fit.

they work great as warbird escorts, as anything small the enemy throws up to fight your birds will die painfully to spec cannons.

they do more damage to small stuff than leahvals.
