a kitbash (the nebula with 2 extra nacelles) was called uss melbourne, but not visibly in canon, only on the model. thats why its been called a melbourne type by some people.

even if 1 ship was called melbourne, it doesnt mean the class was called it.

in canon, the melbourne was quite rightly an excel.

Oh thats right, TWO melbournes, dunno waht IW as thinking.

I really need to rewatch TNG.

And myles, as with teh Centaur type, it's common to (lacking a class name) refer to a ships class as the name of a known ship of that type.

its common to but not canon. they devs could have given the centaur a different name without violating canon.

Still haven't seen the rigel again. Um, but back to the second question. The phaser turret also costs 60 resources to build like the pulse turret yes? Or is that more expensive?
