According to the FAQ, the keys will not be removed:
Q: Will the Master Keys be removed from the C-Store when the event is over?
A: No. The Master Key item will remain in the C-Store for purchase after the event ends. We plan to release additional Lock Boxes in the future that contain different rewards, and Master Keys can open any kind of Lock Box.
On the original topic, I have both the ship and the Borg officer... forget the Defiant, it's clearly the Oberth you don't want to piss off!
