By technicality Basics, Future's End, Scorpion, Hell of Hell, The Killing Game, Dark Frontier, Equinox, Unimatrix Zero, Flesh and Blood, Workforce and Endgame were voyager films, but count as two part episodes as well. in a sense Voyager has already had it's films but i guess from anyone elses POV the series like DS9 and Enterprise, it doesn't count as a film.
I am still wondering what happened to the crew earth-side after the rescue.

i disagree that those episode can count as films, they lack the polish of a finished film. plus films dont have cliffhangers in the middle.

and another POV or point of view

if you are suggesting that its valid for us to have differing POVs about this (which fine, disagreeing is great
) you shouldn't have started your post with by technicality. technicality cant be argued.

but in order to contribute anything by that same technicality, a POV is needed.

what? could u rephrase that i didnt quite catch you.
my point was:
by starting your post with by technicality, you were saying that the two parters were films due to a technical reason, when in reality it was your opinion that 2 parters count as films. a technical reason for them being films would be if they were released in cinemas. that reason is technical because nobody could argue that they werent, i could just show an imdb link or a picture of an advert for the cinema release.

I refuse to believe that every film ever created (according to you) was polished, so to speak.
And, don't take it wrong; I know there's a lot of ESL/ETL, so Mr. English Major will cut some slack, but this one's pretty WTF are you trying to say?!:

It was technically his opinion? It was a technicality that it wasn't?! ...
But no Canny, you can't just cut two hours out of a TV show and call it a movie. Two hour Finale/Premiers DO NOT COUNT, since they're really just elongated episodes. If you technically consider episodes of a tv series as movies, well good for you. Just don't go around town licking windows and interfering with farm animals, unless it's "Special peoples' day."

If a 'polished finish' is needed to count as a film, does that mean B-movies aren't films?

And don't forget that there are even movies that don't even make the B grade.
Anyone ever see TRANSMORPHERS?

wow where's my arse, can someone help me find it, prof j just chewed it out. are u having a bad day? u need to chill
by polished i didnt mean good lol. but if you watch a film u know its a film, while tv shows dont feel like films. its hard to explain lol. films are usually better than 2 parters.

Movies have to tell you what's going on and who these people are (less so with sequels.) Shows expect you to know the characters and all that. Star Trek movies tend to have more action and more intense drama than shows. Star Trek movies tend to be about "OMG the world's gonna get blown up by X", whereas the shows usually deal with matters that only affect an unimportant colony, the ship, or even a single crewmember. The shows are also usually more about figuring out what's going on than simply stopping it. DS9 was a bit odd in that it had huge story-arcs that make it more like a bunch of very short sequels. Enterprise's Xindi arc was also that way. Those series had events too spread out to make movies easily.
I think Star Trek works best as a bunch of episodes.

did i mention by technicality? yes i did, it implies that it can also be a film as well. i mean look at the way of the warrior on DS9, i own all the seasons of that series, and caretaker on voyager, i select the episodes and are not split into two parts but as one big part, episodes are usually 30-45 minutes long not 90 minutes, there is the technicality. if you think it makes any difference, if you want to call it episodes, so be it, but i say they are in-season movies.
