I'm suddenly having visions of Voyager vs the Black Pearl thanks to the music 

I love how it's all doom and gloom, and then suddenly Seven comes along and the tone just completely changes

YES! Epic!    If this were made I would totally go see it (all you Voyager haters can stay home). I must admit though, I have never imagined any Star Trek being set to music from Pirates of the Caribbean, but it so works .

I grew up with Voyager too, also DS9, and absolutely loved the show. I always thought that the Intrepid class was one of the best designs ever (until I found the Century class). It always intrigued me the way it was very integrated and monolithic yet was able to appear very graceful and smooth. I also liked the bridge design, even if its layout is a little awkward.

Actually, Voyager as a movie is a thing I can only imagine as a complete retake of the Voyagers story.
Starting it all over with a new writing team would interest me.
As a film it also has potencial to be good, but not if it's tagged on the ending of the show. Because it WAS an ending.

Nice thing, though the music doesn't fit to Star Trek, it has got its own great music, Goldsmith made good work. By the way, one of the things I disliked in ST XI -  the music was terrible, had no melody  >:(.
Voyager was finished in my eyes, just as DS9, both were good series, but a movie would seem... strange.

I agree, it was ok as a series, gave us most of the tech jargon for trek.

I did watch it, because it was real.  It was called Star Trek Voyager, and it was a REALLY long one that was on tv, broken up into a bunch of parts.

The movie was cool, but you could just as easily use it as a simple trailer for the show itself, right?
