sometimes bad ideas just need to die even when they are the last hope for a series or fanbase enterprise even pushes the voyager boundries of suckness, don't waste time and money trying to save a flawed concept, instead we could try putting that money into a good concept, like mabey a dom war series or a romi-fed series, when star trek tries to follow lucas into the dark abyss of lets go to the past it just fails sorry man lost cuase there is a reason Enterprise fell off the air quickly one final kind saving throw isn't going to reverse the lousy concept

i find the fact that people actually campaigned to get Enterprise back on TV ridiculous but i think they were only doing it to keep the star trek thing alive. sooner or later someone at paramount will realise there is still things to be done with star trek, it just needs a massive injection of creativity and originality and a leap to the future not the past and to prequels. however i would not be surprised if some decided to do a ******* remake of something star trek, a film or series perhaps as remakes are becoming commonplace lately. the BBC (British Broadcasting Corp/Company) have decided to remake classic tv shows from the 70s/80s and that Jim'll Fix It show is being remade with that tosspot called Jimmy Carr. Is there nobody with the guts to make something new anymore?!

prepare for star trek the motion picture:remake, starring kevin costner as kirk, ron pearlman as spock, jackie chan as sulu and beyonce as uhura. also starring john goodman as scotty.

its inevitable.


edit: i'd watch THAT remake for ron pearlman (hellboy) as spock!

the series itself is being done by a whole new group of people. if yuo stop spamming this thread, mabye you can help shape this series to what the average fan wants it to be. this is non-profit, it is by the fans. the fans can do whatever they please with it. the fans may make storylines, ary, etc. the fans may NOT spam this thread or i will have it deleted

fact is, you were asking for names of NX class vessels, so basically your putting into this what most people hated about the previous attempt at "Enterprise". Also by setting it in that period your probably gonna risk rewriting the timeline again (tech wise), by the end of the series you got the feeling that Archer's NX could have taken out Kirks Enterprise-A. If there is going to be another Enterprise i recommend you either set it during current events (around the dominion war period) or some time in the future.

PS, what did they think about "SS Originality".

i agree with ryan, any new venture with star trek would be better suited in a timeline that is consistent with the TNG/DS9/Voyager series. a prequel sort of thing means you have to be extra careful of ******* up the timeline of events. personally i don't see the attraction of a star trek set BEFORE kirk and such as there's only so much you can do without messing the whole thing up. sure you can create art and stuff on the developement of the federation and technology but in my opinion its boring. put urself in the star trek universe and think - what else is there left to explore? voyagers back with info on the delta quadrant and borg technology - makes sense for the fed and its allies to research this stuff. youu want to EXPAND the star trek franchise not go back to primitive times. when i watched an episode of enterprise once they mentioned armour plating failing and klingons causing a ruckus - i just thought "they get shields and make peace with klingons in the end...yawn" i don't know what my point was now...don't u just hate it when that happens!?

DON'T CREATE SOMETHING THATS AFTER ENTERPRISE AND BEFORE THE ORIGINAL SERIES! IT WILL SINK FASTER THAN THE TITANIC! MAKE SOMETHING WHERE OUR IMAGINATIONS CAN RUN RIOT!
and maybe you can finally explain why every alien speaks fluent english

To Startrek47- Why are you treating me like I'm out to ruin everything that has "Star Trek: Enterprise" written on it? I like the series in and of itself, I'm just not impressed on how closly they bases the design of the NX-01 on the Akira class. Don't beleive me? Click here.

To Cpt Ryan- SS Orignallity as a NX class only existed in the mirror universe! ^_^

To Frodo- I can sypithize with the longing to reincarnate Enterprise, but you do have a very valid point. On the other hand, it would be nice to finnaly have some information on the Romulan war. Anyway, nomatter what is decided on, if it's Trek, I'll back it up 100%.
