Hi every one I was woundering if anyone had any coments for good/bad star trek books. I only have one and its good. It's called Spock must die by James Blish. So do you know any books you would recomed or advise to stay away at all costs; canon or noncanon or other catagorys?

Starfleet Corps of Engineers, I believe it has Scotty in.
The Genesis Wave is a good 4-novel series to look for.

Haven't really read to many books for star trek.
Since trek is on pause, I think it would be neat to see them give the borg another adversary somewhat like 8472, capable of resisting them.
A species very mentally strong, capable of resisting the mental link of the borg. However physically they are only somewhat above average, and they can't resist the assimilation part. So they retain their individual control over their bodies, but they become cyborgs unwillingly. As well as being pretty highly technically advanced, able to engage borg in moderation.
Borg create a species with similar strength to their own, the physical alterations just make the species much stronger. Creates a sort of divide within the new species. Those who have been assimilated and those still pure whatever the species is.
Would be an interesting first contact for the federation. They meet this species that is seemingly part borg, but borg resistant.
I'd probably read that book. But in general, I like tv shows or movies overall a bit better. Obviously books have certain advantages over cinema, but I think movies/shows are a better experience. They have advantages as well over literature.
When I was younger I read a book about Q and this great barrier that surrounds the milky way. Forget what it was called, and don't know if I should say more about it, but it was pretty good book overall. Might have been a trilogy.

Did the novel include a character called 0? If it did, it's probably the Q Continuum trilogy.

Why yes it did. I don't remember what was exclusive to the book, and what not. So didn't want to give much information away.
I remember O. O and Q were not good friends. I'm pretty sure it was a trilogy. Q continuum sounds about right.
Denobulans... the doctor guy? Well, I would like something a bit better maybe? Theyre only in the old one, never seen them in the future ones. And they dont seem to be mentally stronger, just physically immune... for some reason. Couldnt find much about this. didnt watch much enterprise.
How do we even know this? Have they ever even met the borg that we know about?
I want a race that can be assimilated, but still mentally resist the borg and then physically go kick some butt with borg strength.

I recommend the Destiny series and follow up Typhoon Pact series. But my favourites are the Voyager Re-Launch books, I have only read the latest ones, the firt four I can't seem to find even online. Also Myraid Universe novels are fantastic in my view.

I also recommend the Destiny trilogy. Aside from that, I would also recommend checking out the Myriad Universe and Mirror Universe collection of books. There were some really good stories in those collections.
Also, i'm currently reading a book about the Federations Department of Temporal Investigations. It's really good so far. I'll let you guys know if it's worth the read once i'm done with it.

I would also recommend the Destiny trilogy, plus the books that lead up to/follow on from it. The Voyager relaunch is amazing, as Majestic said, and I really enjoy the Titan series as well.
I'm reading this at the moment too, is a good read so far
Also, I'd recommend the Rihannsu series by Diane Duane as well, always a good read

If you are interested in a book involving the Borg, do not read Star Trek: Regeneration. It read like a TCR backstory; just an awful storyline.
