I still wish we could get an Excelsior series with a captan Sulu.

Though, admittedly, the result would probably take place in the JJ verse instead.

Either that or Voyager-style Trek, with stupid made-up names that are 2 unrelated things combined and characters so wooden the viewers probably get splinters.

Actually, a JJ-version would probably also be like that...

john cho from harold and kumar. i dunno, he's ok, but doesn't hold a candle to the original. probably nobody could.

i'm not even religious, but if there's a god, it would prevent jj and his team from making a star trek series. movies are barely tolerable, but never tv.

personally i liked the new film (even if it did mess with the timeline, but thats always been a part of star trek, just it was always put right by the end of the episode/film)

i just cant see the now big actors wanting to do a tv series anyway. all the other series started off with the actors as star trek for their "big break" didnt they? the jj film has alot of established actors in it, not sure if they would want to commit to  several series.

all of this talk of sulu reminds me of



"Sulu, he star of the show
Other guys just along for the ride..."

but yeah george takei just cant be replaced for that role
