"Game" or something needs to be in the title or something since it seems like this is for the sequel and not a video game. Its kinda misleading lol.

But yeah since its for PC I will try the demo for sure and go from there.

I wonder how 'Trek' the game will be when finished? The last tie-in game that film spawned had nothing to do with either version of Trek.

yes I read that one... somehow it must be bad... imagine a game located in that alternate timeline and a universe set up that worse! It must be crap!

Judging a game before it's even out, what has the Trek gaming community come to? I mean seriously we don't deserve Trek in any form, whether it is Star Trek XI, a new TNG movie or a video game. All the majority can do is whine and complain because it's not exactly what they want that its going to be no good, and the trailers haven't even been released yet.

I no longer consider myself part of the Trek community, I am ashamed to be if this is how everything new Trek product is going to be judged, and many call themselves Trek fans... pffff....

I agree 100% on this, something is better than nothing. A FPS will I think be pretty good. :)

I'm personally not going to judge this game before it has even come out. I don't mind the alternate Universe timeline in all honestly and i'll be waiting to see how this new game turns out.

Not everyone in the Trek community is as quick to judge as others are.  Just throwing that out there.

Yeah I know, it's just the majority that makes the whole group look like whining kids who didn't get that toy truck they wanted.

I really wish those would have a more open mind rather than making their decisions based entirely upon their own option rather than giving it a go first before making their minds up whether they like it or not.

My hat's off to you, Majestic!  You totally nailed what I was thinking reading most the responses to this.  Though I'm not going to lie in saying I don't share some of their pessimism, I am very optimistic that anything put out with the Trek name on it, will eventually succeed in some shape or form.  Fleet Ops is a great example of that!  But not the only one either...

Though I am still waiting for a Birth of the Federation 2 game to come out...  Bah!  At least it's being worked on, unofficially.
