I never really liked kirk i felt the episodes always revolved around him in someway it was never really about anyone else.

so the borg decimate entire fleets, travel back in time for some reason (again) and piss off kirk, who takes off his shirt (im gonna assume that one) and somehow destroys not only the borg invasion force, but the unicomplex too (im assuming there is only 1 of those), which later gets rebuilt for janeway to destroy again.

is this trailer by tchapman500 by any chance?

After the crap he shat out last time we'd be LUCKY to get this .......

I never really liked kirk i felt the episodes always revolved around him in someway it was never really about anyone else.

0x01 - "The Cage" - Kirk isnt even the captain.

1x01 - "Where No Man Has Gone Before" - It's as much about Gary Mitchell, Spock, and McCoy as it is about Kirk (it IS the second pilot, afterall....)
1x02 - "The Corbomite Maneuver" - As much about spock and balok as Kirk.
1x03 - "Mudd's Women" - It's bout Mudd and his women.
1x04 - "The Enemy Within" - Ok this one IS about Kirk.


So it's not til the 6th episode that things are 'about' Kirk .....

Kirk, Spock & McCoy were the only main characters in the original series. It's inevitable that one of them would get more attention than the others, and the shirt-phobic Kirk is the hammiest character there.

They're not part of the 'main trio' and are just minor characters that have some main character benefits. Above actual minor characters, below not to the level of main characters.

no they werent, they werent in the title credits. there is no absolute definition of a main character, most people go by whether they get title credits. as they appeared a lot, they could be called regulars. but the trio of kirk spock and mccoy were definitely more important than the others.

So Riker, Data, Worf, La Forge, Crusher etc etc are all minor charachters ?

Yeah they weren't the top three, but they were there episode after episode and in some cases were the central focus of the episode, IE: when jack the ripper possessed scotty and killed that belly dancer.

Not to mention they returned for the movies........

TNG wasn't TOS. The movies are also irrelevent; they're connected to TOS, but are also not part of the series.

The big three of TOS were main characters, the others were not. They were simply named.

Named, recurring, didnt get killed off, had the plot revolve arround them on occasion, included the person who was third in command of the ship ......
