Not only that, but also lifetimers are not forced to play all the time only to justify the monthly fee (which would hurt me more to waste than to pay a bigger bunch only once).
The lifetimers really don't have a reason to cry. As long as the game is going they can play whenever they want, which means they will have more fun with actual playing.

Oh? Why don't you waste 200€ on that game, walk a mile in their shoes and lets have this conversation again, shall we? >:(

Why are you acting like you know how they feel.... you didn't buy lifetime remember.....

Lifetime was certainly a waste but if you bought it then you must have been a serious startrek fan with money to burn and they will be getting alot of new benefits that f2p users wont ever get.

Why be upset, free to play will not only get more people on, which could be considered a bad thing, but encourage the dev company to keep the servers up longer.

I think at the end of the day it can only be considered a good thing for you and anyone else with a subscription. I would never pay for that game, but I will give free to play a go, I know many people have a similar opinion. I'd rather pay for the new Star Wars MMO than Star Trek Online.

The map is small and and the activity is centred too much. Sirius and beta ursae are packed to the core so that you can barely fly between other ppl's ships @ ESD ans DS9. The whole map is 1/10th of what is should be and now they're gonna open the floodgates!

You're gonna have a psichotic episode just trying to get to the bank! :crybaby:

If its gonna just half as bad as it is, then they're gonna loose the only subscribers they got left. Nobody is gonna pay for an anthill!

What makes you think I don't have a lifetime sub?^^
I actually enjoy STO whenever I log in; against all my former expectations of it. And I really think people cry too much about small things. For example the dilithium-stuff... what's the deal? Subscribers get 400 CP monthly and can always trade them for dilithium or wait for more to buy cool premium-stuff (which is actually quite balanced if compared to all those pay-to-win-MMO's).

Good for you, it seems you have too much money on your hands... WELL I DON'T!

And quite frankly its an insult to those who have to watch what they spend!

No offense Beef, but if he knows he's going to play the game for ages (and many people prefer playing only one or two games, and don't switch every month), then the subscription was already "worth it".

And many user here might spent way more for their graphics card... just saying.

Anyways, i've got a question for the STO players. Is it possible to play this game totally for fun - no leveling up at all etc., just flying around here and there?
