The way KA2 implemented it (Fed/Klingon photons are the same) actualy works out really good in the A2 engine, it'd just as nice in FO I bet.

Of course, I'm more partial to the Hydrans in that mod :p .

Hate to double post, but was rewatching soem DS9, and in the 2part opener of season 4, at 22:56, you see the following.

Image

Looks like a nebula class WITHOUT any pod, or with a stubby pod.

And heres a second later with a little color correction to make the shape more visable.
Image

Either it has no pod, or is a very small pod.

If no pod, it'd infer that some models had the pod connector neck continue higher up than on others.

That Nebula doesn't have a superstructure, because it has 2 extra Warp Nacelles in its place.

Ah ok, that was the Melbournes model then, or a melbourne type model.

Yes, thats one of the three Nebula prototypes Though thats the only one thats actually been seen on screen.

We were slightly mistaken about the pod. According to Ex Astris Scientia, the one on Sisko's desk did have one. Look at Tok'ras blurry images and you can see the lump on the top of the pod in the image.

The ones with nacelles in its place were in TNG episodes Best of Both Worlds and Future Imperfect. Only the Melbourne-type was used as an actual ship.

lol if the nebula on sisko's desk fired torpedoes from the pod it would probably destroy the bridge.

Maybe it's the variant that's intended to target ships only flying above it? (relatively speaking)

Or the tubes are in the sides of the pod, and in the enginering hull of the vessel like with a galaxy class.

It's a shame that trek tends to devolp things only as much as they have to, trek ships could be quite fun if they went into well thought out detail on them.

And I dont mean the tech manuals, half of those contridict the other two thirds. (and yes I intended that statement to also contradict itself, it's called irony)

Oh god no, NO!!!! You mustn't share the secret of irony with these people, Tok'ra!  Who knows how they'll abuse it!?  The only way I sleep at night is by telling myself, over and over, "Don't worry, they don't know about irony yet.  They don't know."

And not even in my worst nightmares do they discover sarcasm...

[sorry it's a bit late here, I may be delusional and only think this post is funny]
