Any thoughts on what the Breen look like?
What's your favourite episode? How is romulan ale brewed? - Star Trek in general :-)

To be honest, I think it'd have been best handled by having it be like in DS9 everyone talks about how much morn talks, but you never hear him speak.
Have things SAID about the Breen, but never confirm anything.

I absolutly agree, it would have been better to leave the Breen to the imagination. There are so many contradictions about the Breen, one constant though seems to be that their homeworld is cold, backed up be the fact that Cpt. Sisko said "If anybody knows how to keep things cold, it's the Breen." If like the Zero Sum Game book suggests and the Breen are many different races, why would they have a singular homeworld, especially one so ill-suited for most of the races of Breen discribed in the book?

Though I tend to agree on all of what you said, this part isn't exactly true, even though I tend to be in the group that favors them coming from a cold world. Problem is, a constant never changes, yet we do have a contrary statement about their homeworld not being cold. Sure, it's one statement against many, many references that it is cold. But it's that one nightmare statement from Weyoun that keeps us guessing as to what's true and what's rumor about them...

They could be like the Xindi, so multiple races but with almost identical DNA...as regards the homeworld, it's possible it was temperate when the species evolved there but then suffered an ice age or something, and the Breen were advanced enough to escape it - I believe in Zero Sum Game, their cities are underground?

Ah, I adore the Breen. Only the Shadows from B5 ever made such an impact, indeed they share many similarities: secretive, self-willed, astute, cunning, independent, mysterious and intriguingly adversarial.
If they were to return I would like them oft overt in method or action but hidden in purpose. A kind of ambivalent yet brooding power with an indefatigable sense of danger that surrounds their every move. Neither enemy nor friend. A people apart.
The Breen as an alien which is not necessarily hominid but whom chooses to appear so out of practicality and subterfuge, perhaps.

So far I've got a kind of 1984 esque vibe from David Mack's explanation, anyone else dissapointed by the Breen's portrayal in this book? This is my first post in a forum so I apologize if it's not to etiquette, just curious to see what other peoples thoughts are on this!
From what iv read in startrek books, they are an empire full of multiple races and the theory is that they wear the masks to prevent them from looking different from each other because there are supposed to be many different species, according to weyoun the breen homeworld is not frozen.

Weyoun is also untrustworthy and likes to mess with peoples heads. All Vorta are bred to be politicians, which doesn't make them easy to trust. The Cardassian opinion is more trustworthy, having an actual embassy on the planet.
Assuming they are a single race, which everyone in canon seems to believe.
