Living in Ithaca, New York - still the USA where the rednecks just seem to spread like a plague

I love how you added Sudan but left out a number of EU countries like Czech Republic (where Mort lives).

Poor Mort. I guess he'll have to settle for Nigeria.

Rochester, NY, where the worst weather you get is a blizzard/ice storm in winter, a down pour in spring and fall, and a heat wave in summer. Oh, and no earthquakes either.
*Sigh* Republicans, always so...stubborn (there is no one word that fits here).
That's what people have been saying for the last fourty years; I don't think very many people have actually left.
For all you out there who think that America is all that, it's not, it's a bloody miracle that anything happens in this country.
P.S. Oh, and what is it like in the country of "."? (See last voting choice)

Sorry. Since you called us the USSA it sort of implied you are a conservative and you don't particularly like liberals, their policies I mean. I'm not particularly anything either, and I agree that our country is just a little off it rocker right now. I figure that within 100 years (maybe within 50) the US will either come very close to the brink of collapsing or possibly go over it. That will be the slap in the face we need after which we'll pull ourselves together, have real improvements and settle in for the next 150 years.

Don't I know it.

Personally I think that it will collapse much sooner than that, but will be fixed by us Average citizens, wahther it requires a revision of the constitution, or just a complete re-vote-in of all current gov't members, I don't know, nore will it effect me anytime soon, so I don't really care atm

Yeah, the way I see it, 90% of politicians are corrupt because they're all in the pocket of some lobbyist (who you can thank for half our problems) or big corporation (who you can thank for another fourth) and all have secret little agendas which they are pushing so that said companies and lobbyists will give them large sums of money for their campaigns. And unfortunately that 10% of politicians which actually have the good of us poor little peasants in mind have absolutely no power and either don't get reelected more than once or turn to the dark side so that they can get reelected.
I'm staying as far away from politics as I can. That's the one good thing about the military: there's one guy on top and he tells everyone else what to do and things get done.

Guess what: That one guy's only human too, and I bet he does things for the good of himself and what he perceives as the good of other's too

And how do you actually suppose we rewrite said Constitution? How many people do you know that can think that well into the future, know history, and can use both to craft something that can stand the test of time.

Government will always be subjective - that's why we have a representative one. Some people were in love with the last regime, and some are content with the current bunch. If you don't follow politics or vote however, than how can you have any useful opinions on any issue?

Hmm...
I wonder how is its flag... A big black dot over a white field? It might get confused with the Japanese flag, though.
How would you call its inhabitants? dots? dottians? dotties? points, may be?

You mis-read me Dom(or I mis spoke, either way) I think the constitution is the most perfect governmental docuement ever written. if anything at all, the mere suggestion of re-writing the constitution would result in an, overthrow.

However we could alwayse use more restrictions of government. Don't want them telling us we can't spam E-II's when we feel like it, now do we?

I never said that I don't follow politics(that was someone else I believe) and I completely agree with you

Personally I believe its your patriotic duty to vote.

But thats enough Politics for today. Not that I don't enjoy this, but thats not why I'm here :p
