Ugh, a loss for all geeks.
Want to say something off topic? Something that has nothing to do with Trek? Post it here.

It would be more fun to work with then old spelling come from a designers view. As long as the programing dose not change to much I am ok with it. I have bigger things to worry about then a name change of a tv channel. Such as offering to help organize a native american drumming event on the DC mall of 100 or not.
I am ok with the change.

I am not ok with change god %$#@$&!!!!!!.....lol....anyways the are far more sorces that "sif-fee" chanell for sci-fi.....in fact I think in a few years that chanell wont have as much sci-fi programing on it....sadly its all about quantity and not quality....now that SG-1 and Atlantis and BSG gone there isnt much on it thats worth watching...Eureka is pretty ok but Ive only caught a few episodes. Im not about to pay more money for a chanell just cuz it tries to be less "geeky"..I dont see what buisness james bond movies(other than moonraker) and ECW have being on sy-fi...They should just be up front with everybody and say "we are gonna be called USA2 In five years...." I understand that the current economy is hitting tv networks hard as well but this is not the way to win over more viewers. Bring back the days of them aring good movies and tv....not constant remakes of sasquatch or the abominble snowman and ghost hunter and ufo shows....Oh and bring back saturday anime....I dont know if anybody even remembers that being on sci-fi. Sorry Im ranting....I miss my shows thats all....anymore tv is crap anyways....I will just scoot on over to hulu now and let them suck out my brains....or bear with justintv....or better yet pop in a tape or dvd.....

good shows in S C I F I not syfy
eureka
battlestar galactica
stargate shows mostly the original series
maybe the new SG universe and the warehouse 13 show although the premier didnt do much to impress me.
the bad shows...........everygoddamthing else. every saturday its like they try to outcrap the last bad movie they made one week earlier. they do have some descent series so instead of releasing a crappy movie every week why not try and release a somewhat decent one every month.

Ewwww Battlestar... I can't believe you classify that as sci-fi

What about wrestling, do you count that as scifi? That has been on the channel for years. Whenever they started showing that on the "SyFy" channel, that is when it ceased to be a science fiction channel.
Oh, and the new name is already in effect.*facepalm*

battlestar galacticas first couple of seasons were pretty good........wasnt to hot on the next ones in fact i stopped watching them cause they twisted it up to much. it was a bit more grity and hard like a cyberpunk type of sci fi. one of the reasons i like ds9 better than next gen was the same reason. ds9 seemed more realistic and not so rosey colored as next gen.

Personaly I thought the reimagining of BSG got to political at times but I still dug it alot...though the finale in my opinon could have been better....Id like to know what happens to the red stripes....perhaps they meet up with vger and together they become the borg....
