Remember that scene from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark?

that happened because that idiot was wasting time twirling his sword. if it was me indi wouldn't have had the time to pull that trigger. Or I would have flung my knife into his neck if we were to far apart. (yes, i'm that good)

nothing beats a good sword, when it comes to endurance
. just think of it everyone around you using guns will enevitably experience the dreaded clickity-click of an empty mag, while you wouldn't have any probs

i said a good sword. the one my blacksmith made just wont break (believe me i've tried), and i know exactly how to break japanese steel. other less well made swords i have been able to snap with (relative) ease.
and besides a broken blade is still more dangerous a weapon than an empty gun

It depends on how good a blunt instument the empty gun makes

It depends on how hard I can swing the blunt one

ok this might be a bit off topic here, but if any of you are considering coming to my country(South Africa) for the 2010 world cup, i would advise u not too come.
South africa is seriously f*cked up.
The media, and other ppl in the know, have discovered that the crime synicates in South Africa are planning to rob and mug all the foreigners coming for the world cup. Crime in this country is very violent, muggers will shoot you, and rape ur wife just for a cell phone, or $10 here(im not joking, its very serious).Dont think that carrying a gun can protect you because u will be targeted by criminals coz they want ur gun, and even if u did protect yourself by shooting a criminal, it will most likely be you that gets locked up in prison coz the law here is weighted in favour of criminals. And its very easy to spot a foreigner in South Africa. Dont think the police can protect you, coz they cant even protect their own citizens. Hell we have even had big gun fights(100 or so ppl) between the police force and the armed forces(YES IM NOT KIDDING, USAULLY HAPPENS WHEN THE POLICE OR ARMED FORCES GO ON STRIKE OR PROTEST MARCH)
and there are other various problems in this country(bad roads, poor public transport etc).
but really if you or someone you know is coming to this country for fifa world cup 2010 then think twice about it.
just thought i should say this. (PS im not lying)

I Have to agree with u mate, i live here as well and its all true. The media plays it like this country is the best in the world, but the truth is harder to swallow than that. Our country is out of control, crime is at levels that will put other countries to shame, and our goverment is doing nothing about it.
Basically every south african has to own 2 guns or so just to protect ourselfs, even thou u cant use it, its a nightmare here. A criminal has more rights here that the victim. its pathetic.
