=== Starbase 7144 - Stardate 2403/109 ===
Repairs to the starbase are complete and we've had no further engagements with the Borg. The finding of the USS Hime are quite confusing. This is the third star chart that has been given by the Nekriiti that has contradicted every other starchart. Especially the origin point. Having in origin in a galactic core is impossible. The galactic core is a huge black hole. Having an origin there would not be possible. The data gathered suggests that their records on their point of origin has been lost. Lack of communication, hardly any social structure other than what's aboard individual ships, and inconsistent technology on every vessel.
Meanwhile, we've found how to break the Borg encryption codes. There are indeed multiple uni-complexes in this galaxy. And there is now evidence that the Borg have expanded into a nearby galaxy. M31, which is 2.56 million light-years away. The Tereanan Empire is preparing to open up a conduit to that galaxy, but we're also wondering if this a diversion by the Borg.
Battle Cube 3 has successfully found one of the Uni-Complex and destroyed it. Now to find the rest. The Borg cubes near the Uni-Complex were caught in the shock-wave and were destroyed. The shock-wave has extending 3.1 light-years. The Borg network does not appear to be effected by this.
Also, the Mountshining reports that is was attacked by a Nekriiti vessel that claimed it violated their space. The Mountshining shot a singularity torpedo at a star in a Borg system and completely destroyed the Borg system in one shot. The Nekriiti vessel was captured by the Mountshining because it interfered with the Tereanan/Borg war. The Nekriiti vessel appears to have Borg technology aboard and the Borg were attacking both the Mountshining and the Nekriiti vessel. They probably stole technology from the Borg. Again, their navigational system showed contradicting maps. The system that was destroyed was in Borg space.

The fact that the Nekriiti had Borg technology on their ship has prompted me to reexamine the remains we found in Borg space; in particular, I had the Borg pieces we found given a second look. And, my suspicions have been confirmed, the Borg components we found were not from a Borg vessel, per-se, but rather from the Nekriiti vessel. Still further examination shows that the components were much older than current Borg technology and integral with the vessel. There were also several drone components among the debris. Additionally an analysis of what little biological material we could scrape together show small numbers of old nanoprobes in the cells. Combined with their appearances in Borg space and lack of coherent social structure leads me to believe that at least some of these Nekriiti may have been ex-drons. However, there is only circumstantial evidence at this point.
News of the destruction of one Uni-Complex has been relayed to Starfleet and they are quite pleased. The U.S.S. Merlin has also found something intriguing about 500 lightyears from Starbase 7144. They have come across an abandoned Uni-Complex. Their initial scans show the facility's power core is completely off line and there are no lift signs to be found. Further investigation shows the station to have been abandoned at least a year, and all signs are the station was severed from the Collective prior to being shut off; as far as we can tell, it did not run out of power. While the exact cause of this has not yet presented itself, several bodies were found which appeared to be infected. On top of that, the nanoprobe concentration in the air was next to zero. Even with the environmental systems off line, the nanoprobe content should still be quite high. It's likely these facts are connected. Something strange indeed must have occurred for the Borg to actually abandon a whole Uni-Complex.
I believe this worthy of the direct attention of the Hime and we are currently en-route to the the station.

With news about this abandoned Uni-Complex, the Mountshining has been ordered to that Uni-Complex and get as many scans of it as possible. The Tereanan Empire intends on capturing in and bringing it back online. Before they do that however, they need to make sure that what ever happened to this station doesn't happen again once it's powered back up.
The Mountshining has been ordered to get atom by atom scans of the stations database to be analized. Once it has been found out what happened, the Mountshining is to flush out whatever caused the Uni-Complex to be in such bad shape. If we succeede, then the Federation and the Tereanan Empire will gain a huge tactical advantage over the Borg.
Meanwhile, the Borg are stepping up their efforts in this war as a result of the destruction of one of their Uni-Complexes. Clearly, we got their attention that this war threatens the survival of the collective. The old database we revovered from the cube we hacked has been fully analized. The Borg have about 5 functioning Uni-Complexes. Make that 4 now.

We need a chatbox for vessel-to-vessel communications.

Aafter going over the abandoned unicomplex with a fine tooth comb, we believe it is safe and we are fairly certain we have disconnected every device capable of communicating with the Collective. Starfleet is chomping, cautiously, at the bit to have this thing back up and running so they can find it's secrets. I doubt, however, that it will be that easy. The core is most likely encrypted beyond all imagining, assuming the data is intact, something we will not know until we get the power on. Restoring power is proving to be a challenged in an of itself; even with the help of 7 of 9, it is a slow process.
Autopsies of some of the dead drones show that whatever attacked the station was biological and infectious. All of the drones we saw showed evidence of severe cellular mutation. It was not however, Species 8472, although the damage to the cells was similar. What ever it was, most of it appeaers to be gone, eliminated by the nanoprobes, but at the expense of the drone. The nanoprobe levels within the drones are quite low and several of the technological components show damage, indicating this organism can attack technology as well as organic matter. This would account for lack of nanoprobes in the station atmosphere and the damage to several key components, including those used to link to the collective.
While my nanites have yet to report contact with any foreign bacteria, viruses, etc. that doesn't mean there aren't still some on the station. Unfortunately, until we get the power back online we won't be able to tell exactly what happened.

The Tereanans have installed a singularity power core to restore power to at least part of the station. However, unlike the Borg vessels that were captured between the years 2378 and 2402, the systems on this station appear to be incompatible with the singularity technology. This could be the result of the biological weapon that was found on the station. However, if this station was in so much trouble, why didn't it self-destruct?
The Mountshining have reprogrammed some of the nanoprobes used for subsystem repair to eliminate the remaining components to this biological weapon, then start work on repairing the subsystems to this station. In the mean time, everyone entering the station is required to wear air-tight pressure suits because of the lack of air aboard the station.

=== Tereanan Command - Stardate 2403/118 ===
With approval from the Federation, any Federation vessel can dock to a Tereanan shipyard to be refitted with a chroniton torpedo launcher and/or a small singularity power core if that vessel requests the refits.
The chroniton torpedoes will break through any conventional shielding technology and any hull that doesn't have special armor. The more advanced the armor or shield technology, the less effective the weapon is. The higher the launch force of the torpedo, the more effective the weapon is. These torpedoes are equipped with micro-antimatter warheads that deal significant damage to the target. And the higher launch forces can penetrate the armor of any Borg vessel. Even if the torpedo hits the armor padding of a tactical cube. Larger vessels will be able to have the highest launch forces.
The singularity power core will allow smaller ships to take advantage of multi-layer regenerative shielding technologies and/or can be used to increase the maximum launch force of the torpedo.
