WARNING ABOUT ALIENWARE'S SUCKY CUSTOMER SERVICE

I had all the spec made, told them excatly what I wanted, I made it clear that i also wanted to buy now pay in 9 months time (An offer they do), by shear luck my laptop had got stuck in the system and instead of taking 24 hours took 5 days, i phoned and asked wtf was going on, they apogalised and said it will move to phase 3 by the end of the day. phase 3 is payment so i asked wtf is going on again, they had forgot to do put on the pay later option, they would have over drawn me by over £1000 (work your own currency out b1tch). I was told they could not edit it i needed to cancel and replace the order which i did, spent 20 min filling of a finace agreement over the phone to wait 24 hours and get an email saying they don't give 18 year old's credit (THEN WHY MAKE ME FILL OUT A CREDIT AGREEMENT YOU ASKED ME MY AGE FFS ) as i was declined i asked if my dad could get the credit, we had to cancel another order and start again, this time it's gone through ok ( i hope ) the only advantage was the fact that the price dropped about £100 by shear luck the next day.

I am very very ****** at Alienware.[/font]

You do know the new intell and AMD dule brain core dule prosesers are coming out at the end of ther year with are 40% faster?

than after that intrel and AMD are going to put quode brin proseser. with will maker you new one feel like a weelbaro.

the laptop seems great mate wish i had the cash to get 1 like that! i've had problems with alienware aswell, they agreed to give me credit over the phone and left me thinking my lap top was on its way but nooooo they decided to send me a letter stating i've been refused credit, no clear reason in the letter so phoned em up. "system error" they said. wankstains!

What do you expect for customer service, they are pwnd by dell.

Good for you ewm, wasting money on a machine with half the power of an equivelently priced PC. Since Ph*toshop runs just as good on a PC as it does on a MAC.

The only things PCs have over mcas is networking, prise be cuss thay suck, vido cards, and vires/spy ware/mall ware.

Macs have bilt in sucrty, indestry leeding desin and interfeace, Hier color levals, hiere refres rates, more Bits, hier copasity for RAM, Easer to use, verchuly no vires no spy ware no add ware no mall ware, Macs are more findly to PC than PC is frindly to mac, Macs have no teriles soft ware on tham just free stuff that is 100x beter than PCs calculater, Macs are more relibale, And MAC run Windows XP.

Suck on that PCs.

yah, a 5% market share is great built in security! If you have noticed windows also has a firewall. All you need is a NAT to be secure anyway BAH! Video cards... how is that a negitive... cuz I realy love having to just buy a new mac rather than update a specific piece of hardware. Viruses... once again the 5% market share thing, who wnats to write a virus that will infect 3 people unless its specificaly targested to certain people. I dont get spyware anyway. Using FF and having comon sense keeps me safe.

Industry leading design is great, ohh an extra $150 for it to come in black... sign me up!

Higher capacity for ram... anything over 1GB has been shown to have diminishing returns, with I belive over 2gb leading to decresed performance in anything but servers... which are more of a linux/windows rackspace evenvironment.

Macs being easier to use is your personal opinion, but does not in anyway constitute a fact, since each person works differently when faced with simmilar chalenges.

Higher color levels are based on video card and monitor, same with refresh rates... so a mac will actuly have worse refresh rates than a pc depending on hardware. Besides that macs with the LCD/Plsasma displays dont have a refreshrate. Also, the apple cinema displays are overpriced for poor performance, Ive seen monitors that kick there *** for under half the price.

More bits???? what the hell man... honestly... could you not talk out of your *** for a min. You give no description of bits for what. a Bit is just a term for 1/8th of a byte. so your syaing it has more 1/8ths of bytes. That means alot.

3) vido cards are not negative I did not say the things I was listing was negative I said what PC has over mac.

4) pcs have update but unlike with macs up dates thare is a risk of crashing after for good updating.

5) Well as I sed up thare evin if you get rid of all spy and add ware you still can have root kits and mall ware wich are all most inposabule evin for a computer sines mager root kits can be put on virese to.

Well meny usher face exsperts have dun studys on this and thay have shown that macs make more cens to new users. - how clicks start to shut down?

9) is more than that the os its self has to be abule to handal hier refesh rats or it will look jumpy. I have heard the egsact opasit. When you by a new PC the reresh rate is set very low untill you tern it up. I have a hard time looking at some PCs after looking at a mac.

10) macs run on 64 bits pc run on 32 dont beve me go rite click on your desk top got to propertys than settings that whare is says color quollaty you will see it duss not go above 32bits.

i once blew up an iMac for my friend because he didnt like the mouse and the colour. i think they're rubbish. a pc can do so much more and its easier to use IN MY OPINION ALRITE!?

Well Ive only used PCs thus far, I actually never saw a mac in real life :S
Everybody I know uses PCs and they are SOOOOOOOOOO much cheaper and better in performance its incredible really. Basically I dunno what macs have over PCs, nor do I care. I wont change on a mac just yet lol

Oh also PCs do run on 64bits, well some programs do at least, also there is this thing, called Windows XP 64 which actually works in 64bits And of course 64bit processors are a standart for PCs nowadays, so your a bit wrong there ewm


Eufnoc: U've bought a great comp, too bad mine is still better tho and at the cost of a 1000 EUR much cheaper as well It isnt a laptop tho
Oh also dual core processors are already released I own 1 AMD 4200+

It has a thread of 64bits with it can simulat for some program but i whould hardly call that runing in 64 bits.

Hehe, well obviously I cant say anything for sure. But I can say things I have read, heared,....

I have looked at macs prices and stats a year ago I think and compared them to PCs of the same pricerange and the difference was amazing. Im sure mac offers more stability and stuff but the thing is I dont really need it lol. What the hell do I care if I have to reinsall windows after a year if I get the thing for half the cost and everything I need works on it U get where Im going with this right
