then why are you posting in this thread exactly....unless you wish to imply that Chad Kroeger is a girl......

sorry but mentioning either Nickelback or Creed to people who enjoy Metal often entices such reactions. Blame Roadrunner Records for it.

Sheva wrote:Equilibrium is in my opinion one of the best Metal cracks in the world. They come from germany (I too) and they only to badass jobs in complex, eye candy melodic, fast and head cracking songs. They are just awesome.

  • Wurzelbert
  • Blut im Auge
  • Unbesiegt
  • Snuffel
  • Ruf in den Wind
  • Mana

Just a small summary. And there are many more out there.

Unter der alten Eiche and Met is missing >.<, but yeah they are quite fun to listen too.

Maybe someone could help me find one in my taste of interest. My favourite band is [/url]

I would sure like to know some good female bands of taste.

Paramore && Avril Lavigne

if you can accept a non-english singing band, then Gaate might do for you.

To Smoerebroed: I'm really enjoying the 80's metal and it's style more than our current times so called "New Wave", even some of the "glamour metal" bands of that time produced better "noise" then what is currently "available".

Hope I did not miss anything, and keep them coming. I certainly am not an expert, and it shows I don't know them all.

Fair enough, no foul blood. For that particular taste it is quite difficult to find female vocalists. Most of them are doing Symphonic/Power/whatever metal, so puhhhh..... a bit of name dropping then

  • Epics
  • Octavia Seperati
  • Autumn
most of those are doing Symphonic stuff. Epica has a few harder tracks.

if u had actually read this thread you would have realised i wasnt suggesting anything about nickelback or otherwise.

i was responding to someone being insulting for no reason. if you dont like nickelback fine, dont buy their CDs but dont go shout at people over the internet expecting them to agree with u.

Well, no. I think you just get it wrong. Everyone got an opinion. You can agree or disagree with it.

When you tell me: "I like nickleback" then thats your opinion. When I say, that it is pussy-rock, then it is my opinion. I never said, that people who listen to it are pussys. Climb up the logic and causal way of thinking and you get the point.

I will decode for you:
insulting for no reason
I have a reason. I dont like it.

Next:

insulting... hey, when I'm about to insult something, it would sound much harder than this. That was just an opinion.

but dont go shout at people
Where did I do that? Did I shout at someone? I dont see it.

expecting them to agree with u.
No, I dont. I have my taste and you have yours. I dont expect anything. I just accept it. The world would be boring, if everyone got the same taste.

Greetings,
Sheva

when u say nickelback is pussy rock it is obviously an insult. dont pretend it is not.

i dont challenge your right to have an opinion, i challenge the vulgar way in which u express it. racists have (disgusting) opinions, and we rightly wont tolerate them using racially insulting words such as the n-word. if u have an opinion then tell us it in a noninsulting way.

instead of saying nickelback are "just pussy rock" you could say that they immitate what u consider rock, or that they are not real rock. u ARE insulting for no reason, cos u could have used noninsulting words to make your point.

What are you so upset about? Because I dont like them? Would you be my best friend if I said "I love them"? Chill out boy.

Also I'm not a native english speaker, I took this phrase from situations, where it was suitable. And pussy is for me a word for mollycoddle. Not "gay" or "bad" or "they suck" or something like that, its just "soft-rock" or "pussy-rock". If you think, thats insulting, then take it. I think its a suitable description.

The end.

it appears a language barrier has resulted in a mistake. where i come from what u said was a lot more insulting than you meant. i no longer think what u said was offensive.

btw i dont love nickelback, i only like them a small bit. i didnt take personal offence from what u said, i just dont like people using offensive language.

I've been thinking, does anyone know where I can get albums of Japanese Rock Bands and Metal Bands? I have been finding myself liking the Japanese language, even though I can't understand a thing. :P

Wtahc anime intros, you'll probably find something suitable eventually. Even dubs like Japanese music of all kinds.

Well, I did take a little time to respond to your imputs, so here it is.

First of all please don't be insulted, but respect the thread's name, meaning keep it limited to metal's women.

Sheva, maybe I'm wrong but where are the women here: - Amon Amarth , Kataklysm , Thyrfing, Blind Guardian, Children of Bodom, Dope, In Flames. I don't mind that you mention your favorites, but to don't  confuse some of our less metalized friends here please remember to mention that there are "male" bands. I would appreciate it.

About  Equilibrium: Sandra Völkl  I'll quote myself :"Somehow women "singing" in that style (growling) loose there charm, and I forget that I'm listening to a woman, growling.", but thank you for mentioning it.

Smoerebroed -  Gaate I did not know about, not really my style, but hey thank you for bringing them to our attention.
About  Paramore,  and Avril Lavigne I have nothing good to say, so I shall keep quiet, and yes I do know you did write it to a forum member as some suggestion.

Epics I did not know, so again thank you for introducing them, as about Octavia Seperati, and  Autumn are also new to me but I like it.
I did not have to much time to listen to as many songs as I would have liked, sometimes when I'm working I do need to shut the music to be able to concentrate, as some things do require a high level of attention.

So again, thank you all, and I would like to ask to keep it reader friendly, I hope you know what I mean.
I also tried to use basic English to avoid the so called language barrier, no offence meant here, just wishing to avoid "interpretations" of my words.

As a final word: keep'em commin', as I know female singers are not that common in the rock/metal genre, but those whom are out there do make our days, right ?

P.S: About Japanese rock/metal and specially females, you should know that they do not sing only rock,so you should try searching for j-rock, for instance you might find Tsuchiya Anna, Olivia Lufkin (ok both are only half Japanese), and many others, but worldwide they are not that much know.
Good luck with your search.

That's not metal, nor even real rock. That's just force-fed generic pseudo-pop.

If you're willing to accept a band that's disbanded, Drain STH.  Didn't know who they were until they opened at a show I went to.  They broke up after the album 'Horror Wrestling'.  It's nothing but women, and while they aren't Deathmetal, Doom Metal, Thrash, Viking Metal, Industrial Metal or even Goth Metal, they're not bad.  Not bad to look at either, and their stage presence was amazing.  They managed to make the music just take over.
