Personally, mines Star Trek, although I do like Battlestar Galactica (BSG:TOS only).

I hate generalizations  (E.g. I absolutly dislike Voyager, but most others)
And what does StarWars in here? StarWars is phantasy IMO, as it is no possibly realistic outlook on humans fufure. Besides that: Not much technobabble, the force, takes place a long time ago,... . On the other hand phantasy doesn't exclude blasters and X-wings instead of axes and pegasi.
Although I'm a massive StarWars fan, SG-1 would be my vote ... on the other hand I do not like SG-Atlantis too much. Most difficult. The most wellthought Universe is StarTrek in my belief.
PS: I finally voted for SG, the reason is, as the black baron stated Richard Dean Anderson, who embodies an even more distinct character than e.g. Patrich Stewart.

StarGate and Star Trek together on first place. Since I can only vote for 1 and ST is bound to get the most votes I gave mine to StarGate
(Richard Dean "MacGyver" Anderon FTW
)

Babylon 5, by far. To be hones, aside from the Shatner-era films, I'm not even that interested in Star Trek any more. It seems a bit too corny and forced sometimes.

"I pity the fool"
You dislike my favorite ST series. Ah well, you probably don't like Enterprise either.
The ONLY redeeming factor of that clone wars show is that I like. seeing the clones having the crap beat out of them.
Seriously tho it is quite violent for a kids show.
And O'niell (two l's) Rulz. the only reason I didn't pick SG is cus they got rid of him for almost the entire farscape cast.

clone wars is a complete farce. A slap in the face of all that is Star wars.
Honestly lucas is off his rocker for demeaning what was originally a unique Sci-fi experience into this childish gobbledy gook -- the first 2 in the prequel trilogy included. Even ROTS never actually convincingly proves why a Jedi would fall the way Anakin did. - i mean come on over a dream of possibly losing a girl he turns against everything..... jeez!

I liked them all except star wars. too much fantasy for my liking. But I'd say the best are bsg(TNS) and b5. Those series were very well done and when you think b5 was made back in the '90s it really makes you think how that series was years ahead everything on TV at the time.

SG-1 with Richard Dean Anderson, TNG, and the orginal Star Wars trilogy have to be my favorites... not that lame wannabe Lucas hairball they call the prequels...
I don't consider the newest BSG to be sci-fi.

Babylon 5 without question for me. The writing is simply superior to anything I've seen. Some of the scenes between Londo and G'Kar I can't even do justice to; there's so much meaning behind their words. The final episode had me in tears it was so moving.
Seriously, who cries while watching a television show? My sig is an abridgement of the monologue given at the very end, which kind of sums up the show's purpose. Babylon 5 was more than just entertainment. It actually meant something.
I highly recommend that if you haven't seen it, go start with the pilot "The Gathering" and watch it from beginning to end. You can find all the seasons online if you want. You'll be glad you did.
