My thoughts exactly.  Though, we must rember that daleks are from the past and present, whereas Borg are from the future, so they may have the advantage.

But, it all depends, because it is really impossible to merge two universes that use incompatible technobabble.

their shields may be ineffective, or invincible.

they may be susceptible to nano-probes...or not.

Phasers and torpedos could fry them, or not

the Extermination beam thingy could have no effect(borg adapt) or it could fry a cube with one shot.

It is impossible to tell... :borg:  but My money is on the borg. Doctor who is british Sci-fi, and American Sci-fi is superior in every way :P... except maybe comedy and out right randomness.

I have! I have!  :woot:

I'm going to have to go with the Borg on this one; as awesome as Daleks are (I mean come on they're evil salt shakers with laser guns and plungers). I figure that eventually the Daleks would be overwhelmed by the Borg who would eventually adapt to the Dalek's beam weapons. Once the Borg got in close they would easily assimilate the Daleks. I figure the Achillies Heal of the Daleks will be their inability to adapt. They will probably rely on strategies they have used previously and will be out smarted by the Borg who can change tactics much easier.

Yeah, this one Who wins Borg vs Replicators?. There was no actual poll, but I think it came out about tied but leaning towards the Borg.

P.S. Fralo, did you intend the poll to be one where people could select multiple answers?

you should watch red dwarf before you say that, not the american pilot episode, the original bbc production.

Those are really good points. I think that the Daleks might win for awhile, but the Borg would adapt and manage to overcome them. The Borg would have to make a very great effort though.

"You will be assimilated!"
"You will be EXTERMINATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
*pew, pew, BOOM! sszarch, bam, BLAM! boom, EXTERMINATE!, pew pew, BOOOOM!"

I bought this up with my insan-I mean ingenious nerd friends at lunch who brought up the fact that the Daleks are INCREDIBLY smart. We see them change technology to adapt rather quickly, and I thought, what if the Daleks manage to make their gunsticks and other weapons similar to quantum torps? If they constantly change frequency, the Borg couldn't adapt, so then what? I think the Borg might potentially lose if that happened...

Eitherway Janeway would probably waltz in there, floating by in an evo suit in space, armed only with a pulse rifle which, for some reason, fires Quadratic Inter-Sub-Spacial Phase Invertable Plasmodic Trans Temporal Uber Torpedoes +42. Insta-win!

... Probably.

Anyway, it's difficult to assume about fictional hypothetical scenarios. As has been pointed out, you just don't know how the different universes would interact!
