Cardassia will rise!

To the Tereanan Empire, while the Federation is not opposed to assistance in the reconstruction of Cardassia, we would very much appreciate it if you would not do so behind our backs. Additionally, be forewarned that any action taken against the Federation will be construed as hostile intent. As will any action which would prompt Cardassian action against the Federation. Such actions will be dealt with swiftly and decisively. Also I trust that this portal of yours is not within Federation boarders. If it is I will have to refer you to Starfleet Command and a large number of Federation bureaucrats. Otherwise I advise you to keep this portal guarded, the Federation does not appreciate alien incursions into our space.

To the Cardassians. While we cannot verify any of the claims of the Tereanans, you should be warned that Species-8472 is considered by the Federation to be hostile and should any of their ships take offensive action in the Alpha or Beta quadrants, the Federation will respond with force. I strongly advise against any dealings with 8472.

The Tereanan Empire will not attempt to provoke a war and has no hostile intent towards anyone.  Especially not the Federation in which we share the same home planet.  If the Cardassians try to do anything hostile to the Federation, they will have to go through the Tereanan fleet first.

Tereanan transwarp conduits are monitored and heavily guarded.  No vessel, Tereanan or otherwise can go through these without clearance.  You don't want a collision to happen in the conduit do you?  The ones in the Delta and Gama Quadrants are actually in Tereanan space on both sides of the conduits.

I am sending you an approximate map of the galaxy showing all of the Transwarp conduits and Tereanan space as of 2388.  The territory in the Delta quadrant was taken from the Borg during the the Tereanan/Borg war of 2767-2377.  The territory in the Gama quadrant was taken from the Dominion during the Tereanan/Dominion war from 2372-2387.

To the Cardassians.  You don't have to worry about the Dominion.  Because of their attacks on the Tereanans and on our allies, the Tereanans invaded Dominion space and crushed the Dominion empire.  When it comes to war, the Tereanan empire does not mess around.

I'm not sure what you mean by that?

By the way, I would like to see the Cardassians in fleet-ops.  They have had many, many years to recover from the Dominion wars.  I would like to see something similar to what was in stock, except maybe, a bit more balanced on the vessel build times.  Some of their specials could use a bit of improving too.  They seem underpowered in special weapons.

i was just trying to be funny. I agree that if the Cardassian Union was added to fleet ops even if it was just in  quick battle/multi player games it would be good content. Who would not want to recreate some of the great battle of the Dominion wars? That is the point i was trying to make when i started the post.

You know, since the Cardassians will be NPC's, you can easily put them on a team in an empty map and recreate battles like that. It won't be as good as a complete game, but would allow better control over what is used.

Put it in as a playable faction.  Besides, we need more playable factions anyways.

I do not mean to be rude I understand that I am not part of the project. I can only see making them playable as a pro. I cannot see any cons as far as a quick battle. If you look at the Cardassians as simply a defeated people you would also have to consider the Borg, Breen, Sona, and Klingons. Do you think the Federation would allow the Breen or Sona to remain in power now that the Dominion is gone? The Dominion is in the gamma and is not a current threat to the Federation. The same is true with the Borg they are in delta and have problems of their own. The Klingons took high losses in the war and live off of Federation hand outs. I agree with you 100% that they really have no place in a storyline.

They may not have any place in a storyline anymore, except for a mass recovery effort, but that doesn't mean that we can't have them in-game.

The Cardassians have a place in the FO storyline, connected to the Noxter specifically.

Dont understand why its so important to have a story for a mod of another game,the game needs more races and cardasian already have ships and buildings ready for deployment so no need to make up other races and their ships.

If story is so important you can just say, a strange man from another time has given the cardasians the resourceses and know how to restore their empire to its former glory and lets not hear another word of it or were going to shoot this f**king puppy.

Agreed about the picture being wrong.

Also, the game is based on an RP the Devs play, so if they say the Noxter, Iconians and Ciadan are playable races and not the Cardies, then that's the way it is

Just two little girls being girls, cant blame them, altho its clearly a photoshoped picture and there isnt a random guy holding a gun to a dogs head so to the two whop have a problem with it, get off the forum untill your period has passed.
