Lies what are you talking about? If another cold war started, it would actually help this country. Our production of arms and technology rose during the cold war and made us the technological superpower we are today, think if we had kept that up another 20 years.

SEOUL, Nov 6 -- South Korean President Roh Moo Hyun telephoned President Bush to propose that solving the nuclear crisis involving North Korea be a priority for Bush's second term in office.

Bush agreed on the need to push forward with stalled six-party talks on ending North Korea's nuclear weapons programs, the Blue House, South Korea's executive quarters, said in a statement.

"President Roh proposed making the North's nuclear problem a joint project to solve with close cooperation and to lay the groundwork for peace on the Korean Peninsula and in the world," it said.

"The two leaders agreed to strengthen efforts to hold the six-way talks as soon as possible," the statement added.

China, the United States, North and South Korea, Japan and Russia agreed in June to hold a fourth round of six-way talks in September involving senior diplomats to try to end the North's nuclear programs.

The discussions never took place, with Pyongyang appearing to stall while it waited for the outcome of the U.S. presidential election.

@Praetor Defiant: A very harsh statement; "another cold war would help this country" hmm...sure, even the cold war was sometimes hot-> Vietname, Korea; But hey this is cool, because it saves the country from overpopulation; Just send young men and women into some war on the other side of the country;

war is a last resorte. if thares a nuther whay we shood take it.
humin life is not some thing to be takin litely.

Did I say War or did I say Cold War...? Thats right, cold war. I don't approve of armed conflicts. Unless necessary...

Now, if we did have to go to NK or send more troops to SK, we have more Lies.

Also the closest we ever came to nuclear war was in 1994, not the cold war. I could explain it but so few of you ever seem to remember what I say so i'll just keep it at that.

Even the coldest war can become hot; Just look at the Cuba Crisis.

You know theres something calles "substitute war" I hope this is the correct therm; This means to big states (USA vs. Soviet Union) give third parties weapons or help them in a war-> Vietnam(South got backup from US; the north got backup from the Ivan) Korea (53)-&> South(USA) North(Soviet Union and China)

Afghanistan(82) Taliban/Muhajedin(US weapons-&>Stinger missiles!!!!) vs. Soviet Union; You can continue with this list, but i think i made my point or?

No one knows about what happened on here sadly, I saw it on history channel one day. In 1994, Norway launched a rocket for a science experiment. Russian radar picked it up and thought it was a nuclear missile launched from the united states. The russians were 4 minutes away from launching their own missiles at the U.S. but at the last moment got confirmation that it wasen't ours. Now don't go making fools of yourself for not believing me, but just have faith...

...BOOYA, and cold wars are dangerous, I simply stated that for the most part, it's good for the economy of the 2 countries (or many) faceing off against each other militarily and technologically.

And I said Lies, that if we needed to send more troops to SK or attack NK, we have troops in reserve and seeing as how Iraq is cooling down, we could move troops from there and put Iraqi troops in our place.

the cold ware mite have ginvin the aconamy a slite bost but evry one was living in feer of armigadin. i rather have a noraml econamy and feel safe than aslitly elavated econamy and feel deth.

ashaly i have a frind hows boy frind she a woman.. in sath korea sole. and she told me he and 3/4 of thare army are being bulled out of sath korea and being sint to iraq soon.
i rack is still a hell hole and going dawnd werds. thay just posponed the elctions be cuss thares not enuff scuraty.

They postponed the elections because the parties said they wanted more time to campaign.

I didn't hear about some 55,000 troops being moved out of Iraq, put a link on.

And then about armageddon, don't we live with that constantly anyway? An asteroid could kill us at any time, or a powerful earthquake could shake the face of the earth apart. You just never know, throw nuclear war off the list and your still just as endangered as bin laden.
