Quality costs.
That's the exact same mentality that perpetuates this non-sense. Yes, "Quality Costs"... but there is no reason an 'effective' computer should cost over $1000. You are paying just for a trendy name and a tacky casing on what is essentially 'PC' hardware now since MAC's use Intel CPU's. (Effective meaning being able to run most main-stream applications commercially available at the time the computer was purchased.)

Rhaz is completely right in this sense. I'll go down the line on your concerns ewm, forgive me if I don't understand what you were trying to type out.
Error pop ups? Running Vista for the last 3 years (since Beta) and I've had a grand total on 5 Windows errors come up and they were all but one in Beta. Errors from programs are another matter, and it's not something relevant to whether the OS/Hardware is good or not. Also I've been using Win7 at work since Beta1 and haven't had any problems with it either. I tend to abuse my OS, and these have been stable as hell, I intend to transition my personal machine to 7 this weekend.
Same UI: If it works, why fix it? Additionally the UI in the OSX OS hasn't changed since March 24, 2001 when OSX (10.0) was released. Everything after that has been as you said, "Some Tweaks"
The fact that PCs are the target of jokes isn't really much of a reason to eschew them. Why should i or anyone else give a damn what some aesthetics obsessed hipsters and fashionistas think.
As for poor construction, find me an Apple product as reliable or durable as a Lenovo (IBM) Thinkpad. Additionally, remember that MS doesn't sell computers because it doesn't make them. So holding MS responsible for the quality of the shitty beige box you had before going Mac happy is both illogical and unfair.
As for supporting hardware, the fact that the Windows OS offers the possibility of computability with just about any peripheral or piece of hardware is automatically more/better than what even Snow Leopard offers. Thus, the fact that a PC can (both in theory and in fact) be at the bleeding edge of hardware and drivers gives them an advantage that no Apple Computer has. Finding Mac drivers after installing non-OEM hardware on a Mac Pro is nightmarish, try it sometime.
As for the pros on the Mac side, there is nothing you can build/find from Apple that you cannot also find of equivalent quality and cheaper from a PC manufacturer. Having a brand new iMac on the desk across from me (we’re taking Snow Leopard off of it, the faculty member can’t get it to work with his printer) I can tell you they are lovely. But they aren't anything but unique. The new tricks of the Apple mouse, are hardly impressive my 9 button Logitech 3 year old mouse does the same zoom and back/forth options. The screens are nice, but the Dell stand alone- monitors are of better quality. They have higher NITS, a better surface, and a more complete color gamut. I do not understand what you mean by saying they have a low impact on the internet. That doesn’t make sense to me and I’m unsure what you meant to say by that.
As for being worth the money: Pick a Mac any Mac on their website, and I’ll build you an equivalently specced PC (laptop or desktop) from a major manufacturer for cheaper. The fact that the new Mac products finally have the latest Intel processors is hardly impressive considering HP, Sony, etc… have been using them for months.

You have the Same basic frame UI from 4 to 5 OS ago with some tweaks.
You have a SO that is often the target of most computer jokes because of its pore construction despite being the biggest and richest computer OS manufacture.
and it supports the worst hardware for high prices.

Quality costs.
THe new Imacs come with some new cool stuff not to mention its all wireless and and looks assume. Stuff that it comes with like a new mouse that detects where your hands is and allows you to zoom, rotate, go back to a old web page with out moving the mouse. The monitors also have increased performance that gives you one if not the highest views experiences available. And they do this with having one of the lowest impacts on the interment of any computer manufacture to date.
They are worth the money many of there commuters now have higher then core 2 duo and this is one of the 1st iterations of this new design there will be even higher end modals coming don't you whey..

Well when I say PC I am thinking of windows just to clear that up.
Windows is poorly designed there is no real debating that at lest for XP and 95 98 vista 2000 and ME. Even after VISTA came out and up until Windows 7, XP was still a preferred option by many.
I think HP are reliable computer and other brands.
The complaint I have with Mac products are in the operational realm.
It that they are a big purchaser of Metals from congo along with HP and others that directly lead to rape enslavement and mass murder of millions of children woman and man.
YouTube - Congo's Tin Soldiers - Democratic Republic of Congo
I called apple about this and they had no answer and delated my concerns and questions I posted on there form support forum They said after removing my topic these are roomers.
I dont see apple as wrong I see the construct apple operates under cold a corporation that leads to this.

Sorry but if you do some investigation I believe you will find that ALL major corporations lead back to some sort of practices that are at least frowned upon.... if not just as barbaric as what you have described in other countries. Walmart is responsible for thousands and thousands of slave laborers working in China and Indonesia. The problem is not just HP or APPLE.

Once again ewm90 I'll tackle your comments in order.
First, then you cannot make any claims about windows computers being cheap, low quality, hardware complaints, bad drivers etc. Because NONE of those things have anything to do with Microsoft. Additionally complaining about things that HP, Dell, Sony do with regards to human rights or environmental degradation are also unfair criticisms of windows computers because once again, MS has nothing to do with that.
Windows being poorly designed is a simple opinion... One which you didnt even bother to try and substantiate. Give me some examples why that is true. Vista was a perfectly good OS, that like all the previous ones, had higher hardware requirements. But, because we had been stuck so long with XP the change came as a surprise to many users. Additionally, the same is true of the hardware incompatibilities. It has never been the duty of the OS maker to do more than to give the hardware manufacturers a disk with the OS, after that the burden is on the peripheral makers and with Vista they dropped the ball. Additionally Win7 came out all of a week ago, its kinda of impossible to judge adoption rates already. But FYI, Win7 was the single most pre-ordered item on Amazon.com ever. It even surpassed the last harry potter book.
HP is more reliable brand than many give it credit, and you should consider them superior to Apple. With HP you can construct equivalent hardware with a far superior price. Or with an equivalent price you can attain far superior hardware compared to an Apple product.
You seem rather naive as to world politics and economics... Your cellphone has parts from Coltan which when refined makes parts of the cellphone made form tantalum and niobium. The DR Congo struggles with the extraction of that. Your shoes, shirts and pants are built by Malaysian, Bangladeshi, or Indian children. Many electronics use parts made from Cassiterite, wolframite, and Coltan; it’s rather hard to avoid. As for Apple’s fascist response to your inquiry, that’s rather typical of a large publicity conscious corporation. Posting something like this on a support forum is rather silly, write to your government officials (get someone to spell check first though).
Try and actually give some examples or reasons about why you like the Mac OS or Apple computers, along with some reasons why you loathe MS or the Windows OS. Don't just presume that things are factual (IE: Everyone knows the UI sucks!), when they're really just unsubstantiated opinions.

And we are ok with it... If where where not ok, if it was unacceptable we would do some thing about it.
The key is changing the way we see life to aline with crating the world not just taking from the world.
Well the next time you talk to any computer or electronic company ask them about the abuses they do, do what you can to rase the question.
HawkShark......
I got that. You already have the truth so there nothing more to learn there. I am not going to respond allot of your post.
I am dyslexic and I do check my posts. I have called my government reps about it.
The problem is for some reason become resigned and cynical about the fate of how thing are, With is silly because our actions are what create how things are.
example of whats posable when you stop being upset and crate what you wont:
Hulu - Vanguard: Thank You, Recession - Watch the full episode now.
Apple and HP can do better and we have a say.

"I'll buy anything if it's shiny and made by apple." I think I'll lock my door until they catch the Sudoku Killer.

I just watched it again to see what the scrolling marquee was saying. Those were just as good.
