I think mailing him something may be a bit too drastic but I don't see much else we could do.

Should I start a topic in the German forum?

you giys seem to be bent on distoring fleetops. evin know thare is not a forum fite going on some one how is vistinging the forum for thare ferst time of has not visted in a wile whood not realise thare is no fite and evry thing is going well.

i think its kinda sily to say thares going to be a forum fite thares no evadents of that or eny reson at all to jumpt to that. and if thare was for some reson you cood just say see i told you so.

the fact is the only problom one the forum rite naw are pepal ho are stering up probloms.

this is ashaly i think the 5 one of thes post. this is hard core spam started by one user.

i am going to go a hed and report this be for it duss start some thing its all redy sperding to uther topics.

ewm you sh*t about flaming made no sense, there is no flaming here, further more there is no moderaotrs, admins or global moderaters here to enforce the rule either, and secondly when your they only one who don't see it and your the only one saying its not happening and others are seeing it and others are saying its happening and agreeing with others, do you think you could just back down and admit your wrong just once in your f***ing sad perfetic life?

What I said about starting a topic on the German Forum, I meant so that I might get his attention and ask him nicely to check the forum. Not to flame him.

I got DOC on messesenger and he was away. I left the URL for this topic and told him the situation. (Don't worry NieKnight, when I left him the URL I wasn't blaming you at all ) When he shows up a little order will be restored...and maybe a few new rules. Then we at least be a bit more happy.

Here's my opinion on at least one topic - politics is not something that is SPAM for crying out loud. If you read the sig that ewm90 and I have, it says "KEEP IT IN THE POLITICAL THREAD, THANK YOU!" It's that simple. As I've said before, a political thread is SPAM because it is an intellectual debate that encourages people to think and be open to new ideas. Sure, there may be some quarreling which is normal, but it is not spam because it lets people bring about their views to other persons and it is productive to the forum because of intellectualism. If you don't want to engage in political discussion, then DO NOT POST ON THE POLITICAL FORUM!!! Let those who want to engage in political discussion engage in political debate on that thread, and let those who do not want to do such post elsewhere on the forum. It's very simple people.

Also, we get carried away from time to time, but it's imperative that we learn equilibrium - in simple terms, moderation. We should also strive to not do stupid stuff on the forums as much as possible. It may not be absolutely achieved, but it is better than nothing.

USS Legacy, I totally agree that you should post your topic on the German forum. I trust that Doca Cola and the others would respond to this sudden crisis when you do this one thing.

il ike the idea of legacy but be realistivc if one person is appointed as a mod but doesn't have the mod powers yet, he won't be taken serious when another famle threat starts or something else.


basically i think we are going around in circles with this. a flame war starts then it is over because everyone blew some steam off or gotten pissed of then everyone proposes new rules, then everyone hunts for everyone for braking the rules and then that starts a new flame war. it's never ending untill someone really takes action and not just words (looks at the existing moderators)

i found a nice sentence that could fit in here:
its okay when ppl got their own opinion, but they dont gotta express it with each opportunity.

thats annoyin sometimes and there is a need of an operator/moderator if that happens all the time if the result is a fighting like every f***in time in the last days/weeks here..
some ppl here cant accept that everyone got his own opinion and own point of view on things. and it cant be that some ppl tryin to turn every sencond thread into a desaster like that.

u gotta have a really sad life if ur arguin in the net bout nothin more than 'bullsh*t'

I have a very simple solution for all of this. All we have to do is show some respect and maturity to EVERY member of the FO community. I myself have been guilty of throwing heated words around (I hope mostly in the political forum, which is what it's for) and deeply regret most of them now. There are some "members" which obviously can't or won't show basic respect to everyone (fortunately haven't seen them around lately) but if we simply ignore posts and topics that are ill-tempered and mean-spirited we'll come through this just fine without the need for constant adult supervision from Optec and Doca.
