i am a little lost here, there are several different virtual gaming hosting programs like wippen and hamachi and yet which one is best?

shouldnt there be a single server for everyone to be on?
ATM when i am on in the morning and afternoon there is no one on tunngle and yet Vladez has advertised a 2v2 on hamachi. i would like to know where to put all the effort.

a tunngle implementation will be included in the next FO patch, so it would perhaps be wise to switch to tunngle ^-^

It would be best to use Tunngle from a strictly average numbers and performance standpoint - interesting though, when I've seen you on, there were close to 10 people in the lobby. Remember to periodically refresh the Tunngle players list so you can see who is in :).

the reason why i asked is because tunngle and my connection seems to have a difference of opinion, if you will about NAT for starters, just now i couldnt connect because of it, its happens by random it seems, othertimes i can connect and still get nagged about it.. (btw i asked about this 3 times and gotten no response).

the second thing is, several members have mentioned certain other virtual gaming hosting programs. i was wondering if they are just as popular.

It would help if you posted the problems in the forums, to get a wider audience :) . You also have to explain more thoroughly what you have or have not done  ^-^

Yes, there are many other VPN systems (like Hamachi and Wippien), but they cause problems for a large portion of the players. You can join them if you wish, but the amount of people playing on them is tiny, and they do not advertise. On Wippien for instance I have only seen a few games played there on the 'official FO network' in the last 3 months. And those games were played by me! On Hamachi, since nobody advertises their networks openly, nobody knows who is playing there. As far as I know, it's just small groups of friends who normally LAN party too. Tunngle usually has between 10-30 people playing or on at a given time. Since we have a lot of mainland Europeans, Brits, and Americans, you can bet that there is going to be some shifts over time zones. Take that into consideration when you want to play of course :)

Then why not open a new thread to discuss it instead of posting off topic where few will see it?  :sweatdrop:

It is a problem because your complaint is completely separate from your original post and it's title. Nobody but those who are determined to slog their way through the entire thread are going to see this, and that's unfortunate. If you could create a new thread and detail the issue that would be of help - I don't understand at all what you are trying to say in the last post, so unless you are clear and concise I can't help (though someone else might be able to).  :sweatdrop:
