I recall testing both modes in FO in the past (many patches ago, but still within 3.0.0) and both did work - it would be quite easy to test now that Blade's A2 Classic mod is available, as that has the modes already built into it as well. All that would be needed would be a testing partner  :thumbsup:

How would one program the script to credit the win to one player or the other depending on what happens?  Currently, the only victory condition that has been tested is that of the default "mission" maps (as far as I know).

Assault maps are still possible, though with limited functionality.  They are limited to 2 teams and generally, each player starts out with a specific amount of resources and units.  1 team defends their base for a period of time, the other team tries to destroy the base in that amount of time.  If the attackers destroy all of the enemy units before time is up, they win.  Otherwise, the defenders win.

It's great! Progress in this direction of development will offer the community to do some wild stuff. Can't wait to see the first steps.

Multiplayer scripted Maps would be so awesome. With some more gamemodes like KotH, or Invasion :) I think Co-Op Invasion Maps would be a great fun... two Teams have to build a siege and defend it. Spectator can send in waves...

Spectator sends in 50 tactical cubes to each player and they are unable to defend their bases. :lol:

Well, I thought about waves are controlled by AI but spec can handle one random single ship at a time :)

Were there any campaigns released using this Mod?

I have wandered the forums and guide, Megadroid's website is down and I can't find any community applications of this ability, either scripted maps OR campaigns.

Have I missed something?

Not sure if anyone made anything. I was in the middle of some things a long time ago, but then I didn't finish them for various reasons, none of which I handled particularly well.

The site is down because it was an ancient Drupal instance so it had various vulnerabilities, I will replace it with a static page soon.

Looking forward to it.

Various links I was finding were to that site and it being down left a bit of a void.

I did manage to find a link and downloaded and am running your 1.01 mod. Between that and the info in the Guide I am certainly piecing together that scripting a mission is going to be an effort of great proportions.
