I like the design, it seems like what the Feds would make post-Dominion War (no saucer like the Defiant, more designed for battle performance than aesthetics, less room for civilians in a compact battleship.)

I wonder how it'll stack up against a defiant?!

Ship looks a bit smaller than a Defiant class.  Impulse engine size and placement says its fast  and maneuverable as hell  Id say its a Federation Bird of Prey :p  i want this ship if it doesn't make it into the game id still like it released in mods.

p.s anybody have any ideas fora side and front view for this (i plan on redrawing it as my skills have improved a bit sense i last worked on it.)

Okinawa Class... for some reason, I thought it was the TMP-Era Okinawa Class from SFC.

I like the ship, but it could do with a more 'alien' sounding name. Virtually every class in Starfleet is Terran.

Seriously though, it looks like a dropped Saber. The Textures are very nice though, and the Armor is Uber-Nice.

Nah, I think the Terran class-name fits in this case.  It's a fed ship, with a Klingon influence (Terran, with K-Ally Mix-Tech, right?)  So It's technically a Starfleet Design...  From what I've read...

It's got some teeth, too, from the sound of it.  It seems like you guys are trying to make an earlier mix-tech strat (worth it) and I couldn't be left wanting for more.  If you've got some more little toys up your sleeves', feel free to offer a teaser, if nothing else!

PS:  Adm. T'var, that thing looks a little like a Venture mixed it up with a Star Destroyer.  If you're asking for artistic influence, try to avoid having it end up like either, and go for a unique look.  I'll be stuck at Uni tomorrow, and if I remember to, I'll try and doodle something, since I probably won't have anything better to do..

Is there by any chance an Okinawa-class starship available for Star Trek Armada II? Or is the one from SFC the only one besides this one that’s being designed for Fleet Ops? Either way, I was wondering where I can get the one for SFC (possibly one that will work in Armada II) and also the Okinawa-class being designed for Fleet Ops too? Is that ship released in any version of Fleet Ops yet or is it still in the process of being created?

Starfleet serves the Federation the Federation has several dozen if not hundred different species  yet 90+ % of the ships have Earth origin class and ship names.  we should at the very least see some Vulcan and Andorian names on ships even if you make up some names that sound no Earth like the ships can still be Starfleet design

as for my Aurora ship  actually the design is based off  conjectural designs for the Aurora Spy plane the US Government cannot confirm or deny exists and a GI Joe plane

Don't people love it when Optec does this?  Drops us a little tidbit and completely fails to give us any details.  He is like that girl you knew at school, the one who would give you a smile but never a kiss.

Optec, at least tell me if i needs to worry about Vulcan ships appearing in the next patch considering what i'm planing for my Vulcan Avatar.

As for the comment that the Okinawa should have an alien sounding name.... how about
O'kinaWa - that Klingon enough for you?

lol IM not saying this specific ship needs a non Earth name im just saying there should be some non Earth names in the mix  maybe throw some non earth names in the name lists in the odf's for all Fed ships
