this is exactly how it works for me. the pause is very probably intentional, as people might want to get a longer look at one image. if it isn't intentional then they should leave it like that, it's clever.

Can't say I'm the biggest fan of how massive everything is..
Is the site designed for ipads or something?
If i may make a small wish, it would be to reduce the title font sizes of the forum subforums mostly & reduce the size of the news picture avatars, i'd be happy if i can click on the graphics to make it bigger. Or have the classic theme and this new one as an option.
Regards

Really like the new look to the place guys. The logo itself was enough of a change, the new one looks perfect for the time period the mod is in, and the whole colour scheme reminds me of the fed interface.
Whilst I can't - for obvious reasons - comment on intention, I have to say that the redesign works brilliantly on my Xoom. I used to have to be careful when tapping links and such like, now I'd have to try to miss most buttons.

actually the size of buttons was one of the most annoying things about the old site, made using the site on mobiles a chore. they were small and close together at times.

This new site style (particularly the forums) has the signature of a phpBB CMS. Was phpBB used as a starting point for this site?

After using the new forum for a while, I continue to enjoy the new and clean look. I also like how at the bottom of the page there is a "Users browsing this forum" list.
There is one thing that I would like to request be added. Could the page numbers for a specific thread be placed at the top of the page as well? I often go to a discussion and want to visit a later page and have to scroll all the way to the bottom. Not a major issue, but it would be a nice tweak.

Would you consider adding a mobile fourm app like tapatalk. The biggest reason i ask is because my phone doesnt appear to support the mouseover that login tab requires. That or could you make it so there is a physical page that i could go to to login.

try this url to get a form to log in that doesn't require mouseover popup:
http://fleetops.net/component/users/?view=login
i've never liked things that require mouseovers, they fail miserably on touchscreens and aren't much fun on desktops.
