Just three years ago our little mod made it into one of the most read German gaming print magazines PC Action. For a game of 6 years of age in those days this was quite a surprise for us.

Let's see... :sweatdrop:

What: A mod for Star Trek: Armada 2
Who: DOCa Cola & Co.
Where: Gamestar.de/Quicklink/7319
When: Already released
Price: Free

When a mod of a nine year old game (minimally) lags on a QuadCore processor with a GeForce GTX460, it's either badly programmed or far superior to its original program. For Fleet Operations, the latter applies.
The Mod-Team polished the Star Trek: Armada 2 graphics with detailed ship models and stunning effects. The game's principle remains untouched: As usual, you are fighting real-time space battles in 2D space, where ships aren't flying "down" or "up". You fight multiplayer or skirmish matches (including capable AI enemies) between five sides: the Federation, the Klingons, the Romulans, the Dominion and the Borg. Their - mostly new - units are well-balanced, and the modders are planning five additional races as well as a single player campaign. When these are added is unknown. But Fleet Operations already seems quite sophisticated - if you like Star Trek or space battles in general, give it a try.

Conclusion: For Fans.

Oh, and the image subtitle says: "Resistance is not futile: Our Dominion fights the Borg!"
