sometimes, sometimes not. I found a really good strategy for borg. Wait till your opponet is COMING to attack you. once they get half way, open a transwarp gate at their base. you'll get them before they even get to you. this is my favorite strategy.

Thats EXACTLY the point I was trying to make.

Well see the point is you don't let your enemy make turrets or get the resources to upgrade, and even if he does upgrade you just dont give him the turrets...it's that simple.

Also setting up a cloaked blocade so your enemy couldn't get extra resources either would be a good tactic.

I don't aim directly for an enemies resources in the beginning, I find it a worst case scenario move only. It seems like a noobish tactic to me, and well just a cheap shot.

Yes, it is prety cheap, but id say later in the game they are fair targets, whats the fun in rushing a game, isnt it more fun to play out a longer funer game.

yeah my bad. I still like to play old school armada. i actually play it more than fleet ops. sorry. I'm sure that i will play the NEW fleet ops more though!
