hey guys nice job but it still crahses
thou I can now play full screen (it WAS my driver did not know they were still making new ones for 7x) but I was playing and it just crashed it did this with v3 so I sent in an error report for you guys I hope this gets fixed cause I like to play long games and when you take 20min to set up your defense and fleet and then it crashes... well is sucks

Son of a bitch.... I just got absolutely whooped by the federation Hard AI on that Passage map. I was Borg, but that has not happened to me b4. It was..... refreshing

Ok guys, I think you overdid it with the AI. I got hammered again, they spam ships way too fast for one to be able to keep up and I was Dominion for crying out loud. Maybe others arent as strong and maybe its just because of the map, but the federation AI is vicious.
LoL I constantly built ships on 3 seperate yards and they still had more ships than me ---> their build times should increase
BTW I think that the build time for bug ships should decrease a bit as well, for quite a weak ship its build time is very long. Not to mention that those ships were designed to be built fast. You could lower its stats a bit, but the build times must decrease too.
Maybe now I should try again with Klingons or Romulans, either way the Federation will fall!

Tell me, will the changes I have made to the game (swapping out the AII construction ship, scout and mining ship sounds for Rom, Kling and Fed for their Armada I and also doing the same with the Fed computer voice effect the patch (or any future patches) in any way? Would changing the lists of names ships have to choose from (as I am hoping to do with my "Federation ship names in batches" project) effect the patches?

yep the hard AI is ment to be a hard AI
a challange for more experienced players. it just builds maanny yards, try to disturb it!

Ill try that next time, the map I played on wasnt really made for that

You could always manually 'equalize' the AI's build time to make it a more even match.

Easy and medium AIs use the same basic behaivor, they are just slower and dont expand that fast, so thats the way to go if you want a slower match
the hard ai will try to control the map

There's an annoying side of the new AI, imo...
When it decides to attack, it ignores everything! AI ships just fly by my intercepting defense fleet and fly past trough my defenses too, they do not bother with their losses... They go straight for my shipyards and research stations, no matter how much pressure i try to put on them.
But the AI definitely builds and expands a lot better!

Hej...
found a bug. If you build a uplink and remod it to a scoutcube and fit the scoutcube with a regeneration module the whole uplink/scoutcube dissappears.

Klingon starbase is still far too weak.

The Borg still aren't building cubes on AI hard, but I think I'm not giving them enough time. Starfleet takes the fight to the enemy!

Big Baron, I've used the Map Edit switch to see how powerful a Dominion base on AI Hard was, and, although I had ten yards and they had 6 (by the way, I was the Feds) they had around 60 ships, while I had only 40. All the ships before this designated time were deleted by me, except for unarmed ships and prototypes. This has something to do
the Handicap, so go to Advanced settings and switch the build/resource cost to easy, and they'll have the same build times as you would have if you played as that race.

Oh b4 that game ended (the one I won) it crashed, but it wouldnt matter much anyway since I had quite a fleet and 3 moon sets and they had 1 moon set.... The crash report was sent as always

On this point; can the AI be edited such that their ships attack while en-route to their main target? As it is at the moment, I can fly a whole fleet through the middle of their moving fleet and no one will fire a shot
