I'm not much for mods of mods, but this sounds pretty cool.  Btw, Canny....JHC man....13 1/2 posts per day on average.  I can't believe you've only been on the forums 10 days.  Tons of participation....kudos.

Ah I see I misunderstood I thought you were saying it shouldn't look like the one in the shows which I thought was odd   I do agree that making it that powerful would be massively unbalanced.

I have been watching some of the awesome YouTube replays and wouldn't mind giving online a try (though I'm sure I'll get destroyed painfully) but I haven't been able to find any info on how to get setup for online play with tunngle.  So if someone could direct me to information on that I'd be most grateful.

everyone does when they are new. tell people you're new and im sure they will go easy on u. some may even teach u. try teaming up with an experienced player. or even control the same armada with them

as for tunngle. download it and make an account, and forward the port according to the tunngle website.

also there is a good guide about fleetops made by veteran player dominus, he is a good person to ask questions to. he helped me out when i was new.

here is the link: An Introduction - The Hitchhiker's Guide to Fleet Operations

i linked you to the online setup guide, also check out the rest of it. some of it is in the process of updating due to new patch and dominus has exams to do lol.

if u have problems with tunngle dont hesitate to pm me and i will try help you.

next patch may have tunngle integrated into fleetops

EDIT: one tip that most new players should hear is that you should always be attacking. this game definitely is meant to be played on the offensive. its a fast game, recently made faster. dont wait, once u have a few ships you should attack.

another tip is that you should be expanding after your first small fleet. resources decide games very much in this game. your resource count should only go above 1000 in anything when you are saving for a structure. otherwise it should bounce around near 100 or so. dont worry if you get the "insufficient res to build" that is not a bad sign.

another important tip is that turtling is rarely good. turrets are fun in fleetops but ships are 99% of the time better. large ships are better value for money. but dont tech too fast.

I think the Nebula Variants should be refit options that become available at a certain rank.  Im really looking forward to the G-X
