2.5b is a test version, especially for the Romulans. I have created a new Norexan design, and right now Helev has the new version while Mijurial has the old one. If you guys could try them out and let me know what you think, it would be greatly appreciated

The devs really should use you and your work on NX (no doubt they need it since everything is on radio silence for the past 2-4 years) congratulations, you have renewed my intreast in this conversion mod

I think that the Devs are too busy bug-fixing ezEngine right now to concern themselves with looking into fan-made balance packs. What I would like to see is this mod ported over to the FO 4.0 loader.

Tryptic's Mod 2.5c is now complete, and brings with it 2 major changes.
First is a rework of the Romulan tech tree, documented below.
Second, the damage profile of Adapted Photon torpedoes has been altered to deal +40% damage to small vessels instead of +70%. The disadvantages have also been reduced appropriately.
Finally, I fixed several minor bugs. There were a number of ships that couldn't upgrade to Veteran in 2.5b, so let me know if you find any that are still broken in 2.5c and I'll fix them as well.

Staryard
Staryard -> Warbird Yard
Research Facility
Research Facility -> Talshiar Academy
Research Facility -> Upgrade Facility
All staryard ship requirements remain the same
D'Deridex requires Research Facility
Norexan requires Talshiar Academy
Tavara requires Upgrade Facility
Disruptor Bombardment and Radiation Array moved to Talshiar Academy

Although I am only one person, I have been testing and tweaking this setup, and I believe it will work very well. Note that the D'Deridex's build time has been increased, so D'Deridex-only rushes should be much, much less of a problem

You're going to have to be more specific. It's been so long since the 4.0 loader was even talked about, I don't remember how complete it was, or which parts of it were available to us. Do you have a specific set of files for the loader, or can you link me to the forum threads about it?
If so, I'll take a look at it. But I would need to begin by figuring out the most basic differences, and until then I don't even know if it would be a better base than 3.2.7.

I know Blade and I were working on porting 3.2.7 to the 4.0 loader, but I had to stop working on it. I believe I can give you the files for you to look at to get an idea of what's going on.

Thanks for the link! I'll take a look in a few days.
I am pleased to announce the release of Tryptic's Mod v3.0a. With this release, work on version 2.5 will stop. Sorry I never released 2.5d, but I think you guys will be pleased with what I've done moving forward

I'll also stop updating all of my old threads, so if you want to get notifications you'll need to say something in the Version 3 thread.
