The "unnamed" mod

I present here our mod of FleetOps 3.2.6.
It has more than 10 new units, many changes to existing ones, inlcuding new models, textures, maps , backgrounds, sounds, music and much more.
This is the changeslist:
Global:
- new shell music
- veteran limit raised to 50
- additional music for all races
- new click sounds in shell
- new shell backgrounds
- deleted the trails for all torpedoes
- all torpedoes received a light source: decent hardware recommended
- all defenses have been buffed, either range or damage, sometimes both e.g. Romulan defense
- cap for all defenses: max of 12 per race
- all starbase have been buffed, and received mulittarget when offensive full upgraded, cap of 4
- all starbase footprints reduced
- all minig stations received a beam weapon, offensive value 12, borg received the same on their Incubation Center and Resource Assimilator
Federation:
- new Risner Avatar units: Galaxy Class Venture Refit, Sovereign post Nemesis Armored Refit, see details below
- new model for Sovereign, Intrepid, Akira, Excelsior, Excelsior-II
- additionl phaser beam array for Sovereign, both avatars
- changed the torpedo firemode of the Intrepid Class, shoots a volley of 2 instead of one, hitchance and dps altered to keep old offensive values
- new torpedo launcher weapon for Akira Class "Salvo Photon Torpedo Launcher", shoots 2, 3 or 4 torpedoes in a salvo, offensive value unchanged
- new torpedo and phaser platforms for Mayson, existing ones received multitarget, new ones cap of 6, Mayson is the only Avatar to have a total of 18 defense platforms
- created a completely new quantum torpedo texture from scratch
- altered the photon torpedoes a bit
- new ships for mixed tech: Excalibur Class for all mixed tech yards, Nimrod class for Dominion mixed tech yard, see details below
- new ship for both avatars: Proteus Class, see details below
- raised the hitchance and the damage of the Descent's quantum torpedoes
Romulan:
- cap for the Serkas: max of 5
- Serkas "Silent Resolve" same range as quadcobalt launcher
- new ship for both avatars: D'renxus Class, see details below

showing off: that implies you want people to say it's good (or bad if they think so), but all the models are done by others, leaving a couple weapons effects and gameplay for people to comment on. we can't comment on gameplay was we can't play it. so all that's left is the weapons effects you guys did.
ideas: gonna be difficult, we don't know how your mod plays, eg resource costs of the new extremely powerful ships you've added. or tech requirements. capping turrets but making them more powerful is an interesting change, it's hard to say how it plays out. my best guess is that it makes turtling easy at the start, but the benefits trail off much later when the cap strangles your expansion. would probably extend games.

That's not true. All buildbuttons, minimages and systembackgrounds were created by me. I also added glows to the ships lacking them and tweaked some hardpoints. Many textures have been altered too, to fit the FO style. I even added bumpmaps in 3dsmax5 to some models.

Anyways, lookin' nice! like the idea of strong limited def - should make it quite more tactical to turtle on 8pl maps.

Its like the good ol' days of a2 modding. People always showed their personal mods off.
The problem is, now, you have to go through so much work to contact either long gone modders or ones who refuse to share their work, that making and releasing mods isn't worth it. Unless of course, you are the FO devs and make it all yourselves.
I must also make a correction to the credits up there. I in no way edited the excalibur mesh. I heavily redid the textures, but i did not alter the mesh at all.
(hardpoints don't count)

And I have some good news to share. We got permissions for the A-40 Fleet Hunter, both Excelsiors, both Sovereigns, the Akira Class, and the Nimrod Class .
