Here's an idea for a weapon that the Tereanan Empire could use.  Singularity Torpedo.  Two shots will take out a Tactical cube.  The shock-wave may severely damage nearby vessels or stations.  I'm thinking that I'll install this weapon on every ship in the Destroy Borg avatar, but only a few ships on the Wartime Production avatar.

Maybe a little overpowered, but it's effective.  It does have to be researched though.

Maybe I'll make it so only the Destroy Borg avatar has those weapons.  And only one ship has them.  By the way, I want the option to be available to increase the power output of the vessel and rerout the extra power to the shields, reducing the damage recieved by all weapons.  All ships should have this ability, but the bigger the ship, the more effective the ability is.  How would this be done?

The Akira's 'replaceweapon' ability does that by swapping odf's.

Okay.  How's this for the shield abilities:

Type:  Damage Reduction (all weapon types)
Scouts:  5%
Destroyer:  15-20%
Cruiser:  20-45%
Support:  40-60%
Battleship:  60-95%

Will it be a timed ability or one that lasts until you turn it off? Because those battleships will take quite a lot if they only get 5-40% of the damage.

Reduce the batleship a little (just the 95, the 60's fine) and swap the cruisers and support ships, and it seems decent. Support ships shouldn't be able to generate as much power for defences as a warship, since they'd put quite a bit into their specials.
