I'm working on the starbase which is going to allow me to actually start playing as the Tereanan Empire.  I've just about completed the scout vessel, except for the hardpoints, and I'm going to start work on the construction ships soon.  Although I have no clue on how to do animations.

I'll try and record some videos of the mod once I get everything working properly.  There will be several surprises that I'm going to reveal as I make progress.  Some of which are big surprises, some may be anticipated.

By the way, is there a chart available for weapon damage percentage for the already existing weapons?  Or will I need to make one based on the code in the weapon files?

Can you explain what you mean by this comment? What do you mean by "weapon damage percentage"?

I think it means how much is done to each type, like damage reductions to battleships.

Ah, well, most of that should be found in the guide in that case (with a few exceptions that I can't remember right now  :D) .

Something like what Tyler said.  Here's an example of what I mean.

baseDamage = 44
  "vessel1.odf" 98%
  "vessel2.odf" 99%
  "adapter1.odf" 75%
  "adapter2.odf" 50%

I'll be looking in the game guide to see what I can find.

Yup, the rounded percentages are in the guide.

For instance, if you look at the pulse armed, short ranged kliW_brelZ1o you will see that

damagebase = 4.916

"fed_akiraY.odf" 3.933          or ~20% less damage because it is medium sized

"dom_yardZ.odf" 2.95          or ~40% less damage because it is large sized

"fed_galaxy.odf" 3.65          or ~40% less damage +24% increased damage because it is large sized and has Tactical Weapons Arrays

Okay.

I'm having trouble finding the section of the guide that deals with programing weapons and what types of weapons do how much damage to each type of vessel.  I will need to add another group of modules to the Borg adapter.  How many ODF's will that require?  And there are several ships that can be configured on a per-build basis.  Sort of like the Borg, but I want them to be built at the yard instead of a constructor building a frame-work.  Is that possible?

PS:  How would I generate a sub-space conduit say from a vessel, and have the vessel immediately enter the conduit, then have the conduit close behind the vessel?

The Database and the Damage Section give the percentages - all that is required is to cross reference them with the ships in question and perform the calculations :)

The number of ODFs for your Borg adapter depend on how many modules of course and what sort of requirements they have. I don't think it's possible to build them at a yard and configure them there just yet.

For the adapter, I want to make just two additional modules so the adapter can adapt to Tereanan weapons like it does with the other races in the game.

Maybe I'll have the framework built at the yard and after construction is complete, the player can configure the framework.

Well, why not just follow the example of other adapted modules then  ^-^ . Basically you'll need a combo of adapted+regen, adapted+torp, adapted+adapted. You can even copy and paste those modules, just changing the race name and the odf name.

According to my calculations, I'll need at least 7 ODFs to make the new adapters.  Is that correct?

I have made a screen-shot of the star-base for the Tereanan Empire.  It's about the size of the Borg assimilation matrix (I think that's the Borg starting station), however, it has one feature that no other station has.  That feature is classified right now.
