Finally! After nearly two years in development, I present to you the Beta 2.0! This version features a unique Avatar selection screen, all new custom UI, movie accurate voice-overs and sound effects, and much much more!
For testing purposes, I suggest you start 1v1 on outland outposts 2(moons removed), and if you have no problems, try different maps. I have never, come to think of it, tried against or with multiple AI, so consider it untested.

In the download, you will find a txt document that explains some of the things I would like tested or help fixing. Some of it can't be fixed in the current version of FO. I am looking forward to any kind of feedback!
Also, do me a favor and Reply here if you download it. Dropbox doesn't count downloads, so I have no idea how many people even looked at it.

Things that need Testing:
- AI - Too hard? Too easy?
- Fighters - OP? UP?
- Credits - Gaining and spending, too easy, too hard?
- AI fighters - too many? Not enough?
- Everything else...
Download
Known Bugs:
- Bug with warpin physics makes ships go crazy sometimes.
- Fighter button locations are wrong. Should be V-wing, arc-170, Y-wing, then Refuel.
- Ships stop firing when ranked up or fighters are launched.
- Ships do not always continue to fire when told to move.
If anyone can help with the bugs, has more to report, or has feedback on the items that I need testing, please don't hesitate to post or pm or email me.

Ideas for the future? Let me know! I'll make some polls down the road.
- Additional resource/ mining?
- Repair ship? W/ tractor beam?
- Hyperspace/Transwarp to move around the map faster?

Looks interesting. What races or powers will fight against each other ? And after you finished your mod, will be released for the players ?
I made my own Star Wars Mod for Fleet Ops and there you can play with three races: The Galactic Empire, the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance. You can read about my mod here: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=11965&view=unread#unread
May the Force to Be with You !

Well, most info can be found here, and on msfc where it links to. viewtopic.php?f=43&t=11159
The gist is, you are either the Empire or the Grand Army of the Republic. Both have identical units becies hull markings, so it is a game of skill with perfect balance. It takes some time to get used to how it plays, as gameplay is farely simple, but its lots of fun for me, and I can still lose myself. Basically, to get more ships, you have to get kills. The problem is that you only get credits for killing a ship of equal or greator size to yor own. For example, you wouldn't want your Acclamators to destroy an Imperator as you will only get the credits of an Acclamator, but if you let your Imperator, or maybe Venator do it, you would get the points for their kill.
Anyway, as I said, it will be here soon. Very soon.
And yes, this will be a public Beta. I need to play against some human players, and need a lot of feed back on a lot of features.

Interesting idea, (Old) Republic vs Empire. There was a Empire at War mod along those lines if memory serves.

@Miklosgo: I downloaded the Star Wars mod that you've linked to on this link //www.fleetops.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=11965&view=unread#unread which also links to a download link to here: http://miklosgo.hpage.com/ and the mod even though its for FleetOps doesn't seem compatible for the version of FleetOps that's currently out, it seems to be an older version of FleetOps that still used the ODF Directory, and it looks like it is the original Beta Version for FleetOps.
How old is this mod?
Plus are you really working on a StarGate mod for FleetOps like it says on your site?
Is there a way for this Star Wars Mod to be compatible with the current version of FleetOps and the future 4.0 versions with the incorporation of a Mods Directory?
Or is the best bet to wait for the new Star Wars Mod mentioned here by: Adm. Zaxxon?
I'm personally inclined to do the later and wait for Adm. Zaxxon's mod.
But after downloading the old version of FleetOps that has your Star Wars mod Miklosgo, I noticed that version of FleetOps had a three aperture Transwarp Network, does anyone know why it was removed?

I don't know about miklo's, but mine will be compatible with the current version of FO, using mod modules, and an auto installer. It will most likely be incompatible with 4.0, and depending on alot of RL stuff, it may never be. You never know. Also, mine is not related to st vs sw, or sw:fc like I think miklo's is. You may want to play both his and mine as I"m sure they are extremely different from one another.

Hi. My Star Wars Mod work without any problem :-) You don't need any other version to play with it :-) It's an older version of the Fleet Ops but it's works without problem. I have Windows 7 and I found a way how to run it under this new OS. And probably extremely different from the one made by Adm. Zaxxon.
Read, please, the about.txt file and there is write how to install the game :-)
Yes, I'm working on a StarGate Mod for Fleet Ops :-) and probably will be released in two-three months and there will be three races: the Tau'ri, the Goa'uld Empire and the Wraith.
Regards,
Miklos

@Miklosgo: I've decided not to use the Star Wars Mod because I want all my mods for FleetOps to use the newest features for FleetOps and that includes the Mods Directory for all mods, including FleetOps mods like your Star Wars mod, which it isn't compatible in that way. I will not use the older versions of FleetOps even if new mods use it (that will sadly include your StarGate mod if it doesn't use the Mods Directory).
It's nothing person, I just want one FleetOps install with the use of the Mods Directory, surely the Devs wouldn't have taken the time to include the option for a Mods Directory if it wasn't to be used.
By any chance, has anyone tried Miklosgo's Star Wars mod in/through the Mods Directory, will it work?
Plus I hope your StarGate Mod will be utilizing the Mods Directory.
I find that the Mods Durectory makes it the easiest to have FleetOps and any other mod you want to play all in one install, no having to control multiple destinations, one executable does it all; it's very convent! The FleetOps Devs were geniuses to create it!

Hi. No problem. I'll think of a way to transform my mods to be accessible for the Mods Directory from the newest Fleet Ops. Otherwise, the only problem with my mods is that you must install it in another directory to can play with it. You don't have to delete anything at all :-) Just install in another directory on your hard drive and play the game :-)
Otherwise, would be nice to play with Fleet Ops, without having the original CD or the ISO file for the Armada II game.
If you a fan of Star Wars or Battlestar Galactica, you should try my mods made for Fleet Ops :-) I remember the first time when I played the first X-Wing game simulator using a black-white monitor. Was funny. It was a long time ago :-)

A lightsaber?

Well, I tried a SSD, and it was too blurry, and I can do a lightsaber, but I thought it was a bit cliche.
Any other ideas?

Alright, I decided to go with the lightsaber. With that almost done, I might be able to get a release up this week!
