Just a small announcement or two :)

Version 1.4 is incoming. I have decided to go to 1.4, as thanks to enormous help from Rifraf, I now have KA2 working as a Standalone FleetOps mod. That should stop any further installation woes!

I am still testing 1.4 to ensure there are no further little bugs in it now that it's standalone (I caught a few that slipped through the net with it being a child-mod), and I decided to tweak a few things whilst I was doing so...

- FleetOps font. I decided to switch to the far better looking font used in FleetOps
- FleetOps Style selection boxes. I used the Dominion one for the ISC, the Borg one for the Gorn, recoloured the Romulan one, and I have made new ones for the Federation, Tholians, Hydrans and Lyrans, using the Klingon one as is. I was having some trouble with sprite corruption when it tried to switch between the full size and the _1 LOD files, so I removed them.
- New GUI for the Federation. Decided to go back and remake the Federation GUI to look more like LCARS v1.0. I will also be tidying up other GUIs to try and clean up some of their rough edges, move some of the infobars around etc.

OMG, This Is Amazing news and i really like to thank you Squire James and Rifraf for all the amazing work you and all other people
that work on this amazing mod have done so far, and for all the amazing work you and all other people continue to do!... :woot:  :woot:

p.s. Sense this instalment will use fleet ops. staff, will there be real colonisable planets like in star trek armada 2 in it?... :ermm:

stfb; It only uses some FleetOps graphics (I may use their moons, can't decide), it's not a complete rebuild. So it looks closer to FleetOps, but still plays the same :) Colonisable planets, trading stations etc etc. I may also make it use the 4.0 Loader to fix some other niggling hang-overs from the conversion process. (Recycling bug for example)

That sounds great and all but explain to me like on a retard because i em little sleepy  , :whistling:  you talking about a possibility of using 4.0 Loader... Is that mean that you will use 4.0 Fleet Operations Loader, and is this mean that the update will be delayed greatly? :ermm:

p.s. I em sory if i sound ungrateful or impatient or silly, but i em very excited for your mod...  :swoon:

The 4.0 Loader has been released already, for the Sigma Mod I believe. I could even streamline the tech tree if I wished so, but for now I'll leave it (if it isn't broke, don't fix it!)

Do people like the new GUI? I think its far less cluttered and easier to use myself.

Thanks. I've updated the resource icons for all GUIs, and tidied up the others too. Hardly noticeable, but just little tweaks like increasing the shaded area on the centre panel, tweaking where the infobar appears etc.

Oh I also managed to fix that texture shearing issue on planets. Just needed to increase the atmosphere distance. All the planets that suffered from it have now been fixed :)

Looks like you did lots of work on the mod as usual, and as usual you continue to be very modest... -_-
Yes this things may be little chores in the first look, but they are probably a lot of work! -_-
And as we all know - attention to little things define good moder from great one!!!... -_- ;) ^-^
Best of luck :clover: - but you probably don't need it!...

p.s. It is so great that you managed to fix the texture shearing issue on the planets, i will weigh the 1.4 update in anticipation...
