Homeworld 1 and 2 have got to be 2 of the best space-based RTS games ever made, would be great to have a fully functional Star Trek mod for Homeworld 2.  Would also be great if Relic was to make HW3  :thumbsup:

  Wow !  :woot:  Great design. It would make an excellent map object. Maybe the developers could include it in the game, if you agree, of course.  :sweatdrop:

its not my mesh i've just managed to export it from homeworld 2, reduced its textures from 8 to 1 and added the gows, once i have all the ships ported over i'll look into reducing its poly count as they are quite high.

but if the fo team want it then sure

2 things; 1 question, 1 statement: 

1st the statement.....Homeworld was a great game.  Best 3-d rts ever....and I don't mean 3-d graphics....I mean having 3 dimensional axis to move within.  The fact you could do a spherical formation with the weakest ship protected in the center and they would cycle in and out was fantastic.  Short range ships had to refuel, ships that had no offensive capability (i.e. cloaking field ship) was fantastic for the time.  Homeworld 2, however, sucked incredibly big balls.  They made the interface more bulky, nothing similar from the first game to the second besides title and similar story follow-ups.  But I digress.

2nd ....now for the question.  Why on earth would you use the A2 engine for Homeworld?  Now, I know the graphics are 3-d with a 3 dimensional plane....but pathing is a big problem with the A2 engine....horizontal works well....but not always.  But the vertical pathing in the game is very bad.  I'm just curious as to your choice of this engine for this mod.  Don't take this as negative criticism though.  Your screenies are very good.  Looks spot on to the original game.
