The Olympic Class Medical ship. This is a Repair ship and counts toward the appropriate cap. As it is a Medical ship, it is larger and has a bigger crew (needs plenty of doctors, after all) than a repair ship as well as having no weapons and a stronger defense.

This comes with 2 avatar versions:
  • The Mayson one has increased Defensive and System value, but is still unarmed (I'm still not fond of armed Medical ships and Beverly's ship was an alternate future, so it may have been different.).
  • The Risner is armed with a basic Phaser that does increased damaged to Turrets (both Sensor and defensive versions) and Civilian vessels (Constructors, Freighter, dedicated Repair ships, including other Olympic's and Ferengi Ships). The altered damage includes the K't'inga because it is just a Freighter that dumped the pods and activated weapons, while the Talon Repair refit isn't included because it is a Military Scout modified to reapir.

P.S. Before anyone even thinks about it, do not put a post up saying I have the name wrong and that it is the 'Hope' Class.

I made a slight error in the instructions; I forgot the build button:

I like it very much, very nice ship, i like the defense stats, pretty good however, i disagree with no weapons, i remeber in all good things, the medical ship crusher was on, also had good defense, and even tho there weapons were still not strong, they did have some, maybye a phaser, with attack value 10? ,micro torpedo? but maybye a point defense phaser, for even stronger defense?

Hmmm... maybe I can make some minor changes...

I can't say for sure, but it looks like a small scout/research/science vessel. Like the one that Seven of Nine's parents, the Hansons, used.

i definently like the looks of it, looks stronger then a runabout, almost cargo like, like the jenolan

Cool! I think that as a medical ship though it should have something to do with crew strength. Maybe it can help surrounding allied ships resist boarding or reduce the rate or chance that crew dies?

Dunno just a thought to make it more of a medical ship and not necessarily a newton replacement.

The jenolan isn't a cargo ship though, just a small starship.

Yep, it's a Raven-type. I have it in my game as an NPC Map unit (a full Class using Raven as the Class name). Unarmed and with a 'Civilian Scienceship' status, meaning good sensor range but weaker crew strength.

I'm not sure about how to do that. If you know how to change the effect it has, I'd like to know so I can make it the Newtons crew-based counterpart.

Okay... I got my reply from Ray.

How about these as an idea.

Mayson:
Offensive: 12
Defensive: 52
System: 28

- Type XII-L phaser
- Metaphasic Wave

Range: Long

Avatar Bonuses: System Value increased by 3

Risner:
Offensive: 15
Defensive: 52
System: 25

- Type XII-L Phaser
- Micro Quantum torpedo
- Metaphasic Wave

Avatar Bonuses: Given a micro Quantum torpedo (Offensive increased be 3)

Descriptions:

Type XII-L Phaser: A small phaser with long range, deals minor damage (Slightly stronger than a Sabre's phaser). Deals additional damage to Construction ships and turrets.

Micro Quantum Torpedo: A single micro quantum torpedo with long range. Deals reduced damage to ships with defensive value higher than 30 as well as stations with defensive above 25.

Metaphasic Wave: A medium range metaphasic wave that repairs all freindly ships in range, repair ammount increases with ships system value.

That is what me and Ray agree on. :thumbsup: If you want the Defensive value can be adjusted, I just don't want an invincible ship. But I like it!

A basic Phaser that causes increased damaged to Turrets and constructors is a good idea, but micro-Quantums seem a little excessive for a Medical ship.

On a side note: Would Type XII-L mean Type 12-L? As in, similatar to the Phasers on a Sovereign Class?

Were it says

Open 'all_cap_veteran' (C:Program FilesActivisionStar Trek Armada II Fleet Operations 3.0Dataodfsystem) and find the section titled 'Startup':

replace:

"fed_newtonZ", 1,0, -1,  0,

with:

"fed_olympic", 1,0, -1,  0,

i look in the 'all_cap_veteran' file and i can't find the section titled 'Startup' and there is no newtonZ that i can see.

This is that last step i have to do and i must have this ship in game!!! Can anyone help me?
i also included the file so you don't have to go looking for it
