As I mentioned, it's not going to work. You can, for example, use kli_kting2 or kli_ktingb, because they have the same length.

It won't. As far as I know, the CRC check runs over the SODs as well, meaning that any changes done to them will keep you from playing online. I do remember, however, that the textures are NOT subject to CRC checking (at least in stock A2), so if you replace them instead of adding them, they SHOULD work online.
