How do I make it so that the dilithium and tritanium moons can have orbital facilities?

technically there is a code in there odfs called canhaveorbitalstations = 0 this needs to be 1 but i have never been able to work

I was able to make all of the tritanium moons capable of having an orbital station, but the mining beam doesn't fire.  And the dilithium moons still can't have orbital stations.  The tritanium moons also move around alot.

I put some of the planet code in the file, but it still doesn't work.

Can you please provide more specific details?

  What lines did you put into what files?

In the "map_ice_dilithium_moonX.odf", "map_ice_tritanium_moonX.odf", and "map_tritanium_moonX.odf", I placed this code:

Code: Select all
classLabel = "planet"
planet = 1
maxPopulation = 0

I forgot the classLabel for the "map_dilithium_moonX.odf" file so it didn't respond correctly.  Would it be possible to make it so that the mining freighter can process the resources as it mines?

have you ensured that the orbital station can process the resources also normal freighters can not process there own resources

I wonder if you could set up the platform like a construction ship, where it's technically the processing facility, but it sends out little worker bees to "Construct" resources?

Or, What about that processing upgrade for borg miners?

I thought I did.  I'm comparing the code, but I'm not finding anything yet.

Well shouldnt you be able to take the station from stock A2 the planet orbiting one, and put that onto a di or tri moon?

not sure i was always ment to check this out but kept forgetting lol

I think I could, but then the moon would take a spherical shape.  The developers would need new textures for these planetoids.

why wud it be spherical the moon/planet apperance is to do with its mesh not oject type if u wanted you could have a doughnut planet or a banana moon

When I made the , the moon lost its asteroid shape and took the shape of a sphere.  And there was no texture.

strange that shouldnt happen esp since the borg vessels use planet classlable and there not all spheres

EDIT

sorry my bad they just use the planet = 1 code but still shouldnt make them spheres

We then could you make a new planet model that was oddly shaped? And if there needs to be some sort of sphere the just put some sort of invisible sphere somewhere, and you can just put the moon over it
