No, I was thinking of Garrak being one of them. He was reenstated into the Union after freeing Cardassia from the Dominion. Parn was a Legate that was in charge of various fleets during the Dominion War.

Other is amoral. Cheap, fast, heavily crewed and powerful vessels with small system and defense values (Cruiser with the equivalent power of a battleship, but the defense of a scout!)

I'd love for Garrek to show up in fleet ops, I think that's an awesome idea  . He might be a good candidate for the Diplomacy style avatar or whatnot since he has ties to the Federation.

I once read (sry, can't find the reference), that they are quite advanced at metallurgy, so their ships may have huge hitpoints, but wery weak shields.

Though theay have a lower warp speed than the federation their ships are highly manuverable and fast at impulse. This fits their favour of sneaky attacks in dense formations.

Oh well, I found another gem from the past of the forum. And, once again some nice avatars (pictures) from The Undying Nephalim on page 1.

My thoughts for avatar-names would be:

• Detapa Council: +supply decrease
• Central Command: +ship maintenance
• Obsidian Order: +sneaky

And here some class-name ideas -- taken from Birth of the Federation:

• Scout: Nerok-class
• Destroyer: Netel-class
• Cruiser: Neterok-class
• Strike Cruiser: Keldon-class
• Battleship: Galor-class
• Heavy Cruiser: Telok-class
• Colony Ship: Ranol-class
• Troop Transport: Toran-class

My thougths for strengths and weaknesses of the vessels:

• a small number of special abilities -- shows the rawness of the constructions
• a focus on good passivs -- like Ablativ Armor for the Galor-class or Weaponry Refit (Excelsior) for Keldon-class
